KOTOR 2 + Restoration Mod is easily better IMO. It is most certainly improved with that mod, no doubt! To bad the ending isn't really changed, but whatever. Still, I love both of these games so much, I wish Bioware would make a third one, though on closer inspection, that is now probably a terrible idea if that MMO is anything to go by. They did make a KOTOR 3. It's the MMO.

I'm liking kotor 2 so far. It was pretty boring at start, but picked up after Telos. I've finished Nar shadaa and Dantoine and I'm curious, what exactly does the restaration mod change up to this point?

Well that's good, i'm sure there is a change log somewhere, most of the changes are at the end, because the original game barely even ended the game, they skipped over quite a lot.

I've finished Nar shadaa and Dantoine and I'm curious, what exactly does the restaration mod change up to this point? The entire mercenary battle on Dantooine was essentially a cutscene before. Also, all of those parts on Nar Shaddaa where you fought off the bounty hunters while playing as your party members? None of those were in the base game. A new character was added on Dantooine, the Jedi Padawan Kaevee in the Enclave Sublevel.
The major changes come into play in the endgame. THAT is where the most content was cut, or more accurately, amputated via hacksaw. Once you find all the Jedi, from there about 40 or 50% of everything you see will have been added in by the restoration mod.

By the Force, KOTOR 2, just got an UPDATE?! That's right. It now has full WORKSHOP support (And the Restoration Mod is literally the first mod up there as of now), though I wouldn't expect very many mods for it as it's so old. And it also has ACHIEVEMENTS now? And available on Mac and Linux? As well as a few other things, even?
Not gonna lie, my pants got tighter when I saw it updating. Fuck GoT, this is easily the best part of my day today.

What the fuck is this shit I've just had to kill Kavar and now I'm fighting against Vrook and weirdnameguy in tue enclave. Seriously, wtf. Vaklu seemed like a better choice so I sided with him. And it somehow turned me into sith that wants to kill all jedi. How does this shit even work. Now im probably gonna get some shit dark ending where I kill almost everyone.

Because Kavar was with the queen, and you were against her. He made it pretty clear that Vaklu was his enemy, and it was also made clear that Vaklu winning would be disastrous for the Republic. As in, it could end up killing it. You picked what was best for one planet, not what was best for the Galaxy. And when you killed Kavar, Vrook and Zez-Kai-Ell felt his death through the Force (Like Obi-Wan and Alderaan, but on a much smaller scale) and knew that you killed him. So they had to try to kill you.

I enjoyed the shit out of it.
I've just finished the game, but ill post my thoughts later.

I've just finished the game, but ill post my thoughts later. Yeah, the dialogue change would be pretty severe, which would make sense for a Dark Side playthrough (Kill the Jedi) while you were going for a Light Side playthrough (Assemble the Jedi, which is what I prefer, and actually reveals more of the story than the Dark path) which was the problem. The enclave scene has two distinct versions, one Light and one Dark, which is the one you got and goes along the lines of "Must kill Jedis." The Light one is much better because you can go Light or Dark with your responses, but it'll still always play out in the way the Light version is supposed to. As for Atris, that scene happens no matter what, Light or Dark. Because she's not a Jedi, she fell to the Dark Side years before and went a little crazy. I've killed her a few times even when doing a Light playthrough.

So, I told Brotato about how the MMO handled the connections with KOTOR. I think it broke him. Sorry pal
