For the last choice Spare Letho. He's the best. Alrighty, what about with Triss? And the game changing choice?

Triss? You mean choice with her in the last act? I don't remember all the details, but IIRC, there are 2 versions of the choice, save Triss/Foltest's bastard or save Triss/Saskia, right? In both versions I didn't pick Triss. Letho saves her anyway.
And the game changing choice is hard. Both Roche's and Iorweth's parts are good, but I slightly prefer Iorweth, since the free city is more interesting than Henselt's campw. Up to you.
And if a choice to let Sheila die or not turns to have impact, she should die.

So.. if you don't save Triss, then someone else saves her?
I'm just asking because of The Witcher 3. It's very unlikely that I'll ever play The Witcher 1 or 2, but I'd like to know what choices I should make at the beginning of 3 regarding 2.
So... If I wanted to be the "good guy", which choices should I make?

Yeah, Triss is saved no matter what you do.
No idea about being good guy, the big choices are mostly pretty grey. Like, if you go with Roche, you can either kill King Henselt or no. He probably deserves to die, but if you do that, you weaken entire kingdom for Nilfgaard's invasion. I guess going with Iorweth is more of a good guy choice anyway. Not killing Letho too.

So, spare the guy in the beginning, go with Iorveth or whatever his name is, and spare Letho.
I'm hoping I'll figure things out pretty quickly in The Witcher 3.

You know, watching a playthrough of The Witcher 2, in a way, the world kind of reminds me of the world of The Banner Saga, although the story is totally different.

Here's an odd question, the Witcher series has pretty, how do I say this, descriptive and in depth "romance" scenes, and I read somewhere that a lot of the characters mocap there characters. So does that mean... they had to mocap the motions? Because if so, that HAS to take the cake for most embarrassing/what the fuck am I doing with my life moment.

Based on the names of one of the last videos for Jesse Cox's playthrough of The Witcher 2, I think he sides with Iorveth, which is cool, since that's one of the choices I wanted to make at the beginning of The Witcher 3.
Also... The games are based on the short stories and nothing else, right? I mean, I just assume they are... It seems like The Witcher 1 and 2 are based on The Last Wish, and The Witcher 3 will be based on The Sword of Destiny.
So... The games aren't actually based on any of the main novels in the series? I'm not sure.
And watching those two cinematic trailers they did has me convinced that The Witcher needs to be a TV Series or something on HBO.

Really wouldn't work on HBO because the comparisons to Game of Thrones would be far to numerous, its like having another zombie show on AMC, oh, never mind. Still love the idea behind it though.

CineMax or something then. All I know is that those cinematic trailers have convinced me that there should be a Witcher TV Series. Especially if I'm correct that the games aren't based off the books in the main Witcher Series, and only the Short Stories. From what I know, it seems like Witcher 1 & 2 are based on The Last Wish(a collection of Witcher short stories), and Witcher 3 is based on The Sword of Destiny(A collection of Witcher short stories taking place after The Last Wish).
