I really like Big Lebowski. Gotta see it again one of these days.
On the topic of TBL, For shits and giggles, here's how I'd rank the Coen Brothers movies, most of which I've only seen once.
15. The Hudsucker Proxy. 14. Intolerable Cruelty. 13. Miller's Crossing. 12. The Man Who Wasn't There. 11. Blood Simple. 10. Burn After Reading. 9. A Serious Man. 8. Raising Arizona. 7. Barton Fink. 6. The Ladykillers. 5. Fargo. 4. The Big Lebowski. 3. No Country For Old Men. 2. True Grit.
And, far and away my #1: O Brother, Where Art Thou? Cracks my top 5 of all-time. Might be #1 if it weren't for the existence of the greatest movie ever made, Heavyweights.
Haven't seen Inside Llewyn Davis yet.

I for one really loved Inside Llewyn Davis, it was the movie that made me like Oscar Issac, and has one hell of a fantastic soundtrack, if it wasn't for Frozen coming out the same year, i'd say it would be the best soundtrack of the year. It's pretty great, though it is more or less the day in the life of a fairly unlikable country singer right before Bob Dylan shows up. Also it should be noted that several people from the upcoming Star Wars movie is in it, Issac is one, and Adam Driver who is seemingly the big Sith Lord is also in there for a bit. Also Carey Mulligan is in the movie, enough said. Trust me, it's pretty good.

Going to see Jurassic World today. Well, tell us how it is, I mean it only took 14 years to make, and outlived both the writer of the book, and one of the main characters. I know its not as good as Jurassic Park, but I assume most people know that, you can beat the original. But hey, I have heard its far better then the other two sequels.

Jurassic World was FUCKING. AWESOME. I mean... I'm not sure there's much else I can say about it other than just that it was FUCKING AWESOME. Also, it actually had some pretty good characters. Well written, well directed, and FUCKING AWESOME. Favorite Scene: When they found out that the Monster(forgot what it was called) was part Velociraptor and the pack turned against them. Also when Blue came in to save the day just as the Monster was about to deliver the killing blow to T-Rex. Misrani's death was actually really sad. I think my two favorite characters were Owen and Larry. Also Blue. If they do a sequel and Blue doesn't work with Owen to hunt down other dinosaurs, then that movie is an inherent failure. I really want to know what happened to Blue at the end of the movie. And the 'raptor pack being killed off one by one was fucking sad. Made up for by the end when T-Rex, Blue, and the giant fucking crocodile thing took down the monster. FUCKING DINO TEAMWORK.

Well then, you need to see the original now, remember, it was probably the first large scale usage of CGI in any film, before that there was the small bits of CGI used in Terminator 2, and I suppose the ballroom scene from Beauty and the Beast, but never to this scale. Also I must say, it still scares the ever lasting fuck out of me, something about that damn T-Rex roar, and the thought of being trapped on an island full of creatures that are faster, stronger, and sometimes smarter then you, really fucks with my head.

I thought Jurassic World was pretty decent popcorn entertainment. Chris Pratt has been better... I don't think he was given a lot to work with. The movie had a lot of really stale plot devices that don't mean anything other than trying to force the audience to sympathize with a character. The distant family member too dedicated to her job that comes around, the imminent divorce of parents that brings kids closer... Felt cheap.
BUT great characters and unique storytelling isn't what I went to see the movie for. I went to be entertained and I definitely was.

Just watched Kill Bill for the first time (Yes, I haven't seen very many well known movies) and I loved it. The action scenes, especially in the first volume, were pure adrenaline pumping epicness and most of the characters had more depth than I thought they would. The first half of Volume 2 really dragged unfortunately (Michael Madsen was, for the most part, the reason I managed to make it through that), but all the parts after that with David Carradine as Bill saved Vol. 2. Bill was a pretty fantastic villain.

Saw Heat just now. It was pretty slow to start but after it got going it was pretty good. The dynamic between Robert DeNiro and Al Pacino was the best part of the movie, easily the most intriguing bit. They pulled off the mutual respect aspect of it very well and the ending was a fitting end for the two of them. The action scenes come in second, being intense and fun to watch. Overall I found it to be decent, and worth at least one watch, though most of the other characters are, while passable, not entertaining or nearly as interesting as Pacino and DeNiro are.
