I've ordered the original trilogy online (no, somehow I didn't already own them), gonna skip the prequels, although I might watch 3 since I actually quite like it. Recommendation: Try out The Clone Wars sometime. Yes, that CGI cartoon. It starts off pretty hit-or-miss and has some bad Episodes in it, but by Season 3 it becomes really consistently good. It goes to some dark places later on, way more than you would expect given how it initially starts out. Like, I shit all over it for a long time, but after I caved and binge watched it I fell in love. It made me hate the prequels less, which is a miracle on its own. What about the CGI movie? It any good?

Dude, I used to watch that show religiously back when it was on Cartoon Network. I just rewatched Seasons 1-3 plus the Netflix exclusive 6th season. If you liked Clone Wars, check out Star Wars Rebels. It's a sequel to Clone Wars that takes place between Episodes III and IV and it's really good IMO.

It any good? I've actually never seen it all the way through. But it's important as it sets up the rest of the series (Anakin getting his own Padawan, Ahsoka Tano). You don't absolutely need to watch it, but it would help. Again though, it doesn't get really consistently good until around Season 3.

I'm watching Rebels right now actually, and I agree that it's pretty good. Not quite as good as TCW but it has potential and I'm always excited for the new Episodes. Did you know that when (Spoiler tagged for people who haven't seen it yet but really should): Lando Calrissian and Darth Vader showed up that they were both voiced by their same actors from the movies? I thought that was fucking awesome.

I knew James Earl Jones was gonna voice Darth Vader when the series was first announced (which I was super stoked for), but I had no idea Lando's original actor was gonna voice him, which was just the icing on the cake to me.
EARLY SEASON 2 SPOILER (DON'T OPEN UNLESS YOU WATCHED EPS 1-5 OF THE SEASON): What do you think of some Clone Wars characters like Ashoka, Rex, and Hando coming back? Back when I first saw the Season 1 finale I was super excited to see Ashoka again, mostly because of the fact that I'm dying for an Ashoka VS Vader fight by the end of the season that will most likely end with Vader killing Ashoka and it being hella sad.

Continued spoilers, obviously: I really like it. My favorite so far is Rex since he's just changed so much from that proud soldier he used to be in the 501st, but he still kicks plenty of ass. Ahsoka is nice to see again and I can't wait until she finally comes face to face with Darth Vader. As for Hondo, holy shit, he's still just as funny and cool as he was in The Clone Wars. I reeeaaaalllyyyy hope he shows up again. He's just too great a character to have a one-off appearance. He's the best damn pirate in the galaxy.
Also, I'm hoping against hope that we see Cad Bane again in the future. His "Wild West Gunslinger" style and his epic voice deserve some closure, damnit.

Haven't watched Rebels yet. Wasn't that interested but since it's pretty good apparently I might give it a try

So, this has been around for a while, and since I haven't seen it posted here I thought I'd do it in honor of the new movie coming out this week.
Also, I just want to make sure this is out in the open, SPOILER TAG your posts that talk about the new movie once it releases. Better safe than sorry to ensure nobody gets spoiled. And if anyone inadvertently spoils it for me, you'd rather be thrown in the Sarlaac pit than suffer what I would do to you.
Without further unnecessary drama ado, here's the video:

I do plan on watching the new movie eventually. One of my closest friends at school keeps telling me we need to go see it together.
So don't spoil, fgts.

Also apparently the Rey toy for the new movie has been leaked and it supposedly contains a MAJOR plot spoiler. Pictures are popping up all over the internet of it, so I'd stay off until Friday after you've seen the movie.

Yeah I accidentally stumbled upon it, and I completely expected it, but yeah, don't look it up.

2 more days, the hype is getting to me and I just went and bought this sexy ass figure. There was also one of the new design for the Stormtroopers, but I decided against buying it in case the new film is shit, because then I'll just feel even more burned.
