I'm predicting Solo will place between Attack of the Clones and The Phantom Menace on my list. It did a bit better than this. Updated list: 10. Revenge of the Sith (0) 9. Attack of the Clones (3) 8. The Phantom Menace (6) 7. A New Hope (7) 6. Solo (7) 5. Rogue One (7.5) 4. Return of the Jedi (7.5) 3. The Force Awakens (8) 2. The Empire Strikes Back (9) 1. The Last Jedi (10) The only reason Solo places higher than A New Hope is because it's just more entertaining to watch as someone who has grown up in this current era of movies. I'm positive that it wouldn't rank higher than that for someone who has nostalgia for A New Hope.

Does Chewbacca die in this prequel, as hinted at in the trailer?

Does Chewbacca die in this prequel, as hinted at in the trailer? Yes, clearly Aw man, I can't believe Chewie is fucking dead in the prequel. Here I was thinking there would be absolutely no stakes. RIP in Pepperoni, Chewbacca.

Saw Solo. It wasn't a great movie... but it wasn't bad either. I don't think I'll go out of my way to see it again but it was, overall, enjoyable. I thought the pacing was too fast, like we were getting shuffled from one massive action scene to the next, and Alden Erhenreich isn't good (But not bad) as Han Solo, but Woody Harrelson as Beckett, Donald Glover as Lando, and of course, Chewbacca as himself, carried the movie. I loved Beckett. He was the quintessential gunslinging outlaw, each time he shot somebody he'd twirl his blasters and it was beautiful to watch. Also, I was pleased by how close they kept it to the Legends version of Han's origins, in a broad strokes sort of way. Spoilers for the entire movie, obviously, below: His street racing and street urchin-ing on Corellia (No weird vampire bug aliens in Legends IIRC though), Coronet spaceport, spending several years as a member of the Imperial military, freeing Chewbacca from slavery and deserting, winning the Millennium Falcon from Lando in a game of Sabacc (Complete with a skifter (cheating device) hidden in his sleeve!), plus the casual name dropping of EU characters like Bossk and Aurra Sing, it felt like the movie was familiar with the Star Wars universe so ti gets a point in its favor for that.
Darth Maul's cameo was a completely pointless and blatant sequel hook/fan service that the movie could have done without and he wasn't involved with Han or his story in any way shape or form in Legends, so it loses a point for this. This isn't even something that would make sense to anyone who hasn't watched The Clone Wars so it just seems to come out of nowhere with absolutely no explanation. I could go into more detail about other issues I had with it, but I don't regret going so I'll end it here unless someone wants to hear more on that. I think I'd call this an average movie at best, but it wasn't a fucking garbage orgy like The Last Jedi so maybe I'm just glad to have had a decent, if forgettable, palette cleanser after that shit sandwich.

1. Qi'ra. Han Solo isn't in love with anybody except Leia. He fucks a ton of women, sure, but he doesn't love any of them because he's a scoundrel, a real piece of shit, and he's just looking for a fun night. The way they had him devoted to Qi'ra just didn't feel like Han at all. I know, he's younger and more innocent or whatever, but it still didn't feel right. Especially after the reveal that he and Leia split up before TFA. Now we have this character we've never heard of before that he was madly in love with and possibly remains in love with, despite her never appearing outside this movie. Sure, Beckett and Vos and none of the others do either but with characters like Beckett it makes sense. Beckett is the guy who made Han Solo into who he was, we see him in every action Han takes before he returns to rescue Luke at the end of IV. Shooting first, out for himself, will do pretty much anything no matter how insane for the promise of a huge payday. It's another reason I like Beckett so much.
2. Jumping off of those final sentences, they played it too safe with Han. He was unquestionably the good guy throughout the movie, and Han Solo is not a good guy. He runs drugs for the Hutt Cartel, he blasts first and asks questions later, he will steal and lie and do whatever it takes to make a buck, and I just didn't see that Han, or even the beginnings of him, in this film. Everyone keeps telling him he's the good guy and he's the only one aside from Chewbacca and Lando, who comes out of this movie decently even though he keeps insisting he isn't a good person. Beckett is who Han should have been, honestly, but they didn't feel like making that leap before the end of the movie. They wanted him to be Chaotic Good Roguishly Charming gunslinger instead because that's how everyone remembers him at the end of the original trilogy.
He should have kept that fuel after killing Beckett and maybe left a small bit for the Marauders, or tried to split it evenly with them only to have them take the rest and end the movie on a darker note with him becoming fully like Beckett after the multiple betrayals. Instead his generous donation is implied to help start the Rebellion and he walks away squeaky clean. I still enjoyed it more than I didn't, barely, but the things it did wrong it did really wrong. The things it did right it did well enough.

Seriously my main memory was, she could be really attractive and that's it. Not to be too harsh.

Her only decent role is a Dany, and even then she does a lot of strange shit.
