I'm going to hell for just making a thread for this, but earlier today, Treyarch posted a teaser trailer for Black Ops 3, with the end of it stating a "World Reveal" will take place on the 26th. Treyarch's always been my favorite COD maker, with their campaigns being the best, plus zombies mode being as fun as it is. Anyway, if anyone actually posts here, feel free to speculate about this I guess...

Treyarch are the only good CoD devs imo. That is all.

Black Ops is one of the best sub sagas (if not the best) in CoD. Fact.

BO2 is the only good one. Good campaign where you can make choices (they matter)

I'm quite sick of futuristic settings in the FPS industry, just like WW2 early in the 2000's it has became cliche and in my oppinion somewhat stagnatnt, not sure how the Black Ops storyline will continue in thsi one if it indeed continued... Black Ops 2 already left that massive "Operation Charybdis" plothole from BO1 and seeing as the game contains different choices it would even harder to continue the story.

Well they could pull a Deus Ex and only make one ending canon.

It's in a "dark twisted future" I mean it sounds cool at least, also zombies is back.

You have no idea just how much I love the Zombies, I am not kidding when I say that I have spent probably hundreds of hours playing it, some of my favorite memory's of the last console generation was playing COD Zombies. I will admit I was hoping for another World War 2 COD, mostly because the future is starting to become a bit stale, and Treyarch did make WOW, which was my favorite, but hey, BO3, still sounds better then Ghosts by a country mile, and more Zombies, YEAH!!! Though they better fucking retcon the ending of COD Zombies, because fucking hell was it beyond stupid, I am not kidding when I say it was my Mass Effect 3 ending.

My whole comment failed to be saved -_- What I was trying to say is that it we kinda have had other massively messy momments throught the COD Zombies storyline, with the ending in WAW bringing no clossure and the ending in BO1 beign quite messy You know... almost destroying Earth by launching missiles towards it Also I mentioned I'm more annoyed about the fact that BO2 barely followed some of the most important plotlines throught BO1 and almost completely ignoring the whole "hidden" backstory hinted throught the timeline of BO1 and till a few years latter.

I can relate to this. I thought BO2 was gonna touch up on Operation Charybdis that was teased in BO1, but maybe that'll be part of the past segments in BO3 if they choose to do that.

The fact that they went straight to the year 1986 baffled me, not just because of Operation Charybdis but because it also reduced Woods escape from Hanoi Hilton to a few seconds of pre-mission cinematics... I guesws that we will have to use our imagination to fill in the gaps.
If there's gonna be a "past" segment I expect that it would be closer to the BO2 main time period than to the 70's and basically act as a prologue to the rest of BO3 like the 1986 segment in Black Ops 2 and the Project Nova mission in BO1.

Also lets be honest, they did bring back Woods because people like him, he probably should have died. And if not that, then the Russian guy REALLY should have been dead, that was a retcon and a half, still loved Black Ops 2 more then I was expecting, best campaign in quite sometime. I'm not kidding, the choices REALLY MATTERED! You could get a shit ending, or a great ending, and several people can be alive or dead, and to get the best ending, you got to let some people die, I love that!

Well back in WAW days, I don't think they had it all planed out, besides, Der Reise was not suppose to be the last DLC, the first map in BO was suppose to be the last DLC, but they figured November would be far to close to MW2. The Moon ending I frankly didn't hate, I saw it as a massive cliffhanger, and I was okay with that, sure they never followed up on that (I mean fucking hell, those characters were the best, and they replaced them with a MUCH weaker cast for the vast majority of BO2) but whatever, the maps were great. Hell I absolutely LOVED the stand alone story we got in Mob of the Dead, it was pretty sweet, and Buried was so well designed, I FUCKING LOVE the haunted mansion they got there. Origins was fanfuckingtastic! I loved it so much, from the soundtrack, to the atmosphere, I mean its diesel punk World War I, it made me think that if they did a World War I Cod, it would be great! Just one problem... THE ENDING FUCKING SUCKED! I don't mean no resolution! I don't mean massive cliffhanger, I mean they flat out said ITS ALL A FUCKING DREAM! I read that on the internet while I was looking for a walkthrough on how to do the Easter Egg, and I swear to fucking god that if I had beaten the Easter Egg and gotten that ending, I would have thrown the console out a window in a rage! THAT IS BULLSHIT! People hated Mass Effect 3s ending, I thought it was okay with all the DLC, so I wasn't beyond pissed, this though, this was MY Mass Effect 3. I got into Mass Effect in 2013, I had been playing COD Zombies since 2009! So it was more personal, and I still can't comprehend the thought process that went into making that the ending. No really, they flat out said that none of this is real, and that everyone's favorite characters WERE DOLLS! They didn't exist, its all the product of the imagination of an 8 year old girl...bullshit!

Well Richtofen technically existed as her brother, Maxis is her dad, and Fluffy is her dog, but yes I see your point, it was a shit ending. Me and my friends actually did Easter Eggs as soon as the steps were released, so imagine my surprise when the entire series was just a game. So anyway, for BO3 zombies, what do you think the story will be? Personally, I think it may involve somehow having the Original Crew come to life or something, which would explain how Samantha said at the end that Maxis had a plan for whatever danger they were in.

You actually did it? My deepest, deepest condolences to you and your friends, how did you handle the news that all those wasted man hours over the course of five years were all for nothing? Storywise? I don't know, I for one hope they realize how dumb the ending was, and retcon the everlasting shit out of it, I hope anyway. Otherwise at the very least, do what you just said, it doesn't excuse the failure before, but it at least tries to fix the mistake. In other words, I am hoping for a Scott Gimple level amount of fixing on a Glenn Mazara level failure if you catch my drift.
