Funny story though, I only ever read like 10 issues a loooooooong time ago. But I thought "Man, this guy's a badass," and so I chose this name.

So I've been making my way through the Assassin's Creed comics and I've got some thoughts on the two series I've read so far.
I read the original 2009 Assassin's Creed comic that's non-canon and it was pretty.... okay? Best thing about it was the art and the settings of Rome and Egypt. Gives a hint at what Origins and the third game in the new trilogy might look like at any rate. Aside from that though, it was just okay. I think a lot was lost in translation, and it goes just a little too quickly.
Then, I read AC: The Fall and AC: The Chain and absolutely loved both of them. I mean, idk if any AC fans here even remember Daniel Cross, the bad guy from the AC 3 Modern Day storyline, but The Fall and The Chain really manage to humanize him and turn him into a really interesting character. It's also probably one of the best bits of AC story to show the Assassin's in a negative light. It balances the past and present storylines really well, and I love the characterization for Cross and Orelov. Like, seriously, this really makes you think about the conflicting ideologies of the Templars and Assassin's, and it presents complex, multi-dimensional characters, too. It's honestly really excellent.
I think I'm going to read Brahim and Locus next to follow on Henry Green's story since he was one of my favorite characters from Syndicate. I'm trying to make my way through all of the shorter side stories before I get to the main comic series. But yeah, so far the comics are 3 for 3. Or maybe 2.5 for 3.

I remember him, mostly because of how lame the character dies. Oh no, bleeding effect. Must run around the room and get stabbed while not fighting at all. Well actually all the modern day villains have really lame death's in AC 3.

5 for 5. Just finished reading Locus. I really liked the art and the overall story. It was nice to see another story featuring Evie and Henry Green, alongside Detective Abberline! Also, surprise appearance by Mark Twain, which is pretty awesome. The modern day story was a little confusing because it ties into the Last Descendants novels, which I don't follow, but it was still quite good.

Yeah it was really lame, shame since if you read his info page it was pretty interesting, this probably just makes it that much better.

Just finished Assassin's Creed(2015). Really great stuff. Awesome historical settings(the one in Vol. 3 was underutilized but still), and a strong Modern Day. The supporting cast isn't maybe as good as in the games, but Charlotte as a protagonist is fantastic. If the leaks are right and Charlotte will be the main MD character of AC: Origins, then that's be the best of both worlds, the supporting cast of the game, and the protagonist of the comics.
Anyway, onto Templars. I've actually already finished the first arc, and I really loved it. Only one more, smaller arc, and then onto AC: Uprising, then I'll be all caught up.

Right, finished Templars. It was also really good. The concept of Black Cross is really interesting, and I hope we see it in the games at some point.
