This should be renamed General BOOK Discussion, not just comics.

This should be renamed General BOOK Discussion, not just comics. I set books as being separate from comics since they're significantly different mediums.

For the record, Outcast is really, really incredible. Everyone should read that(at the very least, the first Issue).

I guess no one here reads comic books? Aside from Walking Dead and Sonic not really. I don't really follow Marvel or DC comics that much.

I read other comics from Skybound(Thief of Thieves, Invincible, Outcast), and I'm trying to read Y: The Last Man. I was reading Fables..... but it fucking sucks. :/

Well, I read the Atom Eve and Rex Splode special thingy that shows those characters' backstories. Gave me a reason to care about Rex, since his backstory is pretty tragic. Doesn't change the face that he's still a dick in the main series.
There was a funny little bit at the end. I assume as they were being released as individual issues, people wrote in asking why there wasn't a backstory for Invincible. so at the end, there's a page or two with the title "Why Invincible isn't in this comic" and it just showed Invincible/Mark sitting at home doing homework, and then his Dad comes home and asks him if he got his powers yet.
Whole point being that Invincible only gets his powers once the main series starts, whereas Eve had her powers since birth, and Rex got his powers about a year or two before Mark.

I'm about halfway through Snowpiercer. There is almost nothing the same as the movie. Different character, the class system within the train is different. The name of the train is different, the catastrophe was caused by something different, and even Kronole/Chronole is different.

...Huh. I'm not really sure what to think about Snowpiercer. I mean, I think the movie was better.
It's translation is off just enough that I feel like i'm not fully understanding it, but i'm more or less able to follow the story.
It's really weird, and I'm just kind of confused...
I still want to read the second one, though.

I really wish there were at least some people I could discuss Invincible/Thief of Thieves/Outcast with. :/
Anyway, I'm getting caught up on Invincible, and it's actually really good. Even though Mark seems to let himself be pushed around a lot by Cecil, his Mom, Amber, Eve, Robot, The Immortal, Art, Nolan, random strangers, and pretty much everyone except for William, we still manages to be a compelling character.
Also, though I kind of failed to understand any sort of real attraction to fictional characters, I think I'm beginning to understand thanks to Invincible(specifically, the character Atom Eve).

So, I just read issues 2-4 of Y: The Last Man...
Veeeeeeery over-rated series. Still quite good, but nowhere near as good as people have led me to believe.
