The fight with Britt was my favorite part of the Episode. It was intense and brutal and nasty (I got a torch shoved in my face, it burned) and I loved it. My bloodlust was sated. Still wish he didn't have to die (Yeah, that came outta left field after that first line). I was fine with kicking the shit out of him, that's why I walked away. Literally did everything I could not to kill him. I made him suffer. Gared's going to regret that action over the next three episodes. Also, I really hope we can see Brit's "splated" corpse as we flee castle black. I seem to be about the only person who walked away, which is very surprising. I thought I was the forum psycho. Maybe the times have changed. Maybe I'm finally sane.

I also walked away. I didn't want to give in to vengeance.

When I replay I'll probably kick him off the wall. Letting him just flop over is so anticlimactic. If he can't be spared, I'll at least kill him in a decent way.
Probably will never make him suffer. I like killing people as much as the next gamer, but I'm not evil.

Oh don't get me wrong: I was all but playing Gared as a paladin up until that point. The best way to piss of a really good person is to brag about torturing a child to death. Especially if that child was a family member. Gared was overwhelmed by righteous fury and killed him out of revenge moreso than justice. I did let him have his sword back. That scene is epic. Anyways, I actually just kicked him off in my initial playthrough. Then I rewound on my cannon save to have him suffer. Kickinghim off the wall was out of character at the time. Gared wanted Britt to suffer. He's not going to regret killing him as much as the way he did it, and he'll flat out tell John that he's guilty out of... well, guilt. And did anyone find a good screenshot yet?

And did anyone find a good screenshot yet? I can't see Gared doing anything but walking away. Britt was dying anyway so no need to torture him. That's an Asher move, not a Gared move. I couldn't see Gared torturing anyone like that, no matter his feelings and even if they deserved it like Britt did. I watched the scene where he suffers and everything about it felt wrong.

It felt right to me. Gared's fallen for me right now, the next for episodes will be him trying to redeem his action.

Does anyone has a really good High Def shot of the image where we see Gared glaring at Brit, his cape flowing in the wing, ready to draw his sword? It's about time I updated my wallpaper. Something like this? You're going to have to crop it to fit your screen/match your ratio.

I didn't realise "Making him suffer" included killing him. If I did I would've just walked away. I thought it just meant "Break his legs" or something

I still don't really get why someone would play the characters a certain way. I just make the decisions that I think are right for all the characters.
However, I really, really want to go back and change the standing up to Gryff thing...

I make decisions based on what I would do in the situation.

I do what I'd do if I was the character(if I was playing as a ruthless serial killer I wouldn't act all nice and friendly and such), but I also don't try to get extremely into doing things "how the character would do it". I guess what I'm saying is, I'm doing things as if I'm the character, not quite as if I was in that situation but not quite "how they'd do it"

I do what I do based on what I think is right and how I think the character has been built to that point.
Except for Asher, I'm just being as sarcastic and violent as possible. It brings me such joy to play him that way, would recommend.
