I haven't watched this full video, but from what I understand of it, 300 employees have been laid off and they're not making physical copies of games anymore, correct? I don't know how many employees 300 is to a company as big as Sega, but physical copies of games aren't really a big deal these days. In fact, the last time I got a physical copy of a game was more than 2 years ago now. And whatever money they lost that caused these decisions, I'm sure they can get it back if they make more good games(or even if they just continue their Football Manager series, that's popular, right?)

I don't really have much faith in SEGA any more, so I wouldn't miss them if they do die out.

Well they pretty much slaughtered Sonic games with the Sonic Boom, so maybe not entirely, but I don't think we'll see another Sonic game for a while.

They are important to gaming history I know, but there time is over, Nintendo used to be on the edge, now it seems they are doing fine, I don't think there old rival can.

Not a single decent SEGA game comes to mind immediately over the past 10 years. Like, Sonic Generations wasn't even that good in the whole grand scheme of things. Absurdly short lived, one dimensional story, weak final boss. Fuck, some of the choices of levels to recreate weren't even that good.

What about Sonic Colours?
That came out in the past 10 years, right?

Uh, what about Sonic Generations? Did you not get that for the PS3? I'm assuming you don't have a Wii U to play Lost World either, both of which were perfect games.

I'm assuming you don't have a Wii U to play Lost World either, both of which were perfect games. I liked Generations, but there are enough things wrong with it for it to be imperfect, such as its length (or lack thereof), lack of variation in the levels (seriously, 1/3 are city levels, 2/9 are grassy hill levels), and the awful final boss. Not to mention "THAT LOOKS LIKE A HOMING SHOT!!" and "YOU'VE GAT DIS, SANIK." The levels that were there were good, but they were all fully shown off before the game was released in trailers and gameplay previews at cons and expos. It didn't feel like a game, it felt like a DLC for a bigger game like Unleashed because of how short it was. Plus they sort of under utilised most of the VAs, too. I keep forgetting Troy Baker was in that game, and Kirk Thornton is so underused because they don't have faith in him at all. His voice is good for Shadow - I have faith that he could pull it off given enough lines to get used to the character along with decent voice direction, but they just won't use him enough because the only characters that can ever be in the stories of the main canon are Sonic, Tails and Eggman while the rest are just interchangeable cardboard cutouts and background decoration rather than actual characters. Generations is good to hop on and speedrun a couple of remastered levels (or the mods people make), but it's pretty much the remastered levels and nothing else. I do like the gameplay and I don't hate it at all, but there's definitely a lot that could've been done better. Feels like they made the levels and then realised they had to put in a story a week before it shipped. From a gameplay perspective it's definitely a lot stronger than most of the recent Sonic games but it doesn't really have much meat to it, which is disappointing.

Yep, everything past that point is a lost cause.
