All my life I've been a fan of Sonic The Hedgehog, but It wasn't until about 2008 when I discovered that an entire comic book series existed since 1993! I started around the 170 issues, but caught myself up with the classic issues online, later buying archive collections every Christmas. The comics have a pretty good vibe story wise, with several characters from the original SatAM cartoon being main characters in it. The comics also introduce several new characters into the Sonic canon, and while none of them have yet to appear in a video game, I can only hope that Sega will eventually decide to use them in one of their future installments.
I'm also planning on creating a thread for their Megaman series as well in the future, or maybe tacking onto this thread as a dual thread. Anyway, feel free to discuss anything about the comics here.

Is Emrel(can't be bothered to look up how to spell it) in any of them? That's the right way to spell it. As of right now the Gizoids (Emerl's race) have not made an appearance yet, but they might make an appearance later on in the series due to a recent soft-reboot that was forced by SEGA. TO put it simply: No SEGA character can be in a relationship, age, die, have parents unless they were mentioned in the games or cartoons, change their or appearances unless approved by SEGA. Any characters made by this one former artist for Archie cannot be used in the comics anymore. Mobius (The name of the world) Can no longer have a name, and must be referred to as Sonic's World. There can only be one Metal Sonic in existence (Which really makes me worried that Shard, my favorite character, will not appear in the reboot for awhile). Since Archie is now forced to use only a handful of OCs, this means that Archie's gonna have to resort to long lost game characters like Emerl. They just put in Werehog Sonic five issues ago!

Well, tell me if he shows up. Wow. He is actually in it, but not IN it. In issue 257 (Last February), he's mentioned in it, since the comics are now canon to the games. He isn't mentioned by name though, it's jsut implied. So they could still do stuff with him in the future.

Oh wait, so according to an upcoming issue's cover, Emerl will make some sort of appearance in the comics. Look on the left between Silver and Omega.

As the Sonic/Megaman/Sonic Boom/Megaman X Crossover approaches, we've got a new teaser image that possibly even more Capcom/Sega characters are on the way!

He was awesome. Technically yes. All of the characters in the Battle Network series were based off of Megaman Classic and Megaman X characters. The Colonel that appears in this game is the X version, but they're practically the same. Take Gutsman for instance. Gutsman Classic:
