Question: do you HAVE to break up Jody and what's his face in her apartment when playing as Aiden or can they eventually go somewhere beyond two souls sucking face? Yes, the game won't let you do it otherwise, though it took a moment for me to even realize your question, I thought you meant why can't I break up with said fucker ever! Seriously I told him to fuck off each time and even picked death at the end to get away from him, and yet the game still forces me to be with him, what, the, fuck! If this was Bioware then the first time I told him to go to hell he would have never asked again! FUCKING HELL DAVID CAGE! You can't write female characters OR any romance of any description, Christ the romances in early Disney films (circa 1937-1966) were far more believable then whatever the hell you can do! If you choose to go live with the (not so)homeless people by the end, he never shows his face again.

Well that still doesn't make up for the fact that the game forced me to be with him, and since I died, the game made that choice for me, regardless, that is terrible game design, unless your Spec Ops the Line, don't force players into something they clearly don't want to do!

Alright, I'm gonna throw in an honorable mention in addition to my original list. Can't believe I forgot this guy: Pavel, from Metro Last Light. (In spoiler tags to avoid massive image overload like my original list suffered). You first meet Pavel, a soldier of the Communist Red Line, at a Nazi concentration camp where both of you being interrogated by the camp guards. After breaking free and escaping the camp, you and Pavel go through one of the coolest sequences of events in any video game I've ever played. Dodging Nazi patrols and fighting your way through nests of mutants, the two of you save each others lives multiple times each on your way to the safety of a nearby Communist station. It is one of the most epic and intense escape sequences ever, and it's made all the better by Pavel's personality. The guy is a regular comedian, constantly cracking jokes and bringing levity to the extremely fucked up situations that the two of you find yourselves in during your escape. As the game goes on, Pavel easily becomes, in my eyes, the deepest and most well written character in either of the Metro games. And considering the fantastic cast of 2033, that's saying something.

I don't really have an order for this - would take like forever to do it. But obviously, Clem is my number one and that won't change - never! So yea, heres my list: Clementine, Lee, Kenny --> The Walking Dead Bigby --> The Wolf Among Us Trevor --> GTA IV Lara --> Tomb Raider Altair, Ezio, Connor --> Assassin's Creed Batman --> Batman Trilogy Venom --> Spiderman Sam --> Serious Sam Not sure if I missed someone but these are the ones which came in my mind first.

Since I've been playing through Brothers in Arms again, I'm gonna throw out another honorable mention. I'll keep the description spoiler tagged for those currently playing through the series for the first time (Brotato), even though the game is old. Sergeant "Bulletproof" Matt Baker, a paratrooper in the 101st Airborne during WWII and the reluctant leader of a squad of 13 men. As Baker leads his men through a week of grueling, bloody battles in Normandy he finds that he isn't fit to be a squad leader, or even arguably a soldier. The deaths of his men permanently scar him, and after Normandy a severe case of PTSD sets in leaving Baker to grapple with his inner demons while still being expected to lead his men in Holland. Baker is far from the average protagonist in an FPS. He's soft spoken most of the time and not really cut out to be a soldier, with everything he does and sees deeply affecting him and bringing him closer and closer to the breaking point.

Tempted to make a Top 10 Telltale Character list. One for PCs and one for side characters.

I don't think I ever made a list. Just gonna put some of my favourites in no particular order. Urnot Wrex (Mass Effect trilogy) I had a hard time picking between him and Grunt, but in the end, Wrex is the best. He's an old experienced warrior, that is one of the very few krogans trying to change their race for better. And a total Bro. Those who didn't have him in ME3 have missed a lot. Pavel (Metro: Last Light) He saves your life the moment you meet him. Then you save this witty motherfucker instead. You both watch your backs and help each other for half of the game. And then he ruins all the trust you have in him and betrays you. Not because he doesn't like you, but because you are fighting on different sides. That put a lot of conflict in me about him, whether to forgive him or not. And I still did, I couln't help it. What a Great character. Geralt of Rivia (Witcher) He's a fuckin beast, that's all I'm gonna say. Garrett (Old Thiefs) I loved this cynical, sarcastic thief, that just wanted to get rich, but always ended having to save the city or even world. Fuck the new Thief though. Fuck it so much. Silas Greaves (COJ: Gunslinger) Old bounty hunter, looking for revenge. I have a thing for those wild west stories, so I loved the game and the character. The way he sometimes just bullshitted in his stories was great. Honorable mentions: Dandelion and Zoltan (Witcher series) Ulman (Metro series) Grunt and Mordin (Mass effect series) Allen, Garnett and Doyle (Brothers in arms) Bigby (TWAU) Lamar (GTA V)
