SEASON 1, EPISODE 1
HANDS ON THE BIBLE
=========================================
NFTS didn't know what to think. These preposterous accusations he had to face... it was over the bloody line. Of course, he was looking after his citizens, but to imply the close-than-friendship relations? "How dare he?!" thought NFTS. It was all the fault of the knight from the continental rite; Tom was his name.
After the public accusation, NFTS immediately told his fellow Order members to meet him at the headquarters and decided to call Hagen before him to demand satisfaction. Oh, he will surely regret the fact that he accused the Order's Master - the Founding Father himself! - of such execrable act. NFTS was standing among his company men, while they were watching him in silence, waiting. He unsheathed his mighty sword. It didn't taste anyone's blood in a long time.
"Oh, but that's about to change, sweetheart. Soon you'll know how it feels to bathe in the continental blood, how to lap it up like a thirsty dog, how to savour the moment when you rip the flesh and bone of the traitor to our cause", NFTS whispered to his blade, wandering his fingers slightly over the shaft. He wasn't so caring to anyone this much, even his lovely wife. He was a knight after all, so his sword was as precious to him as his own hand.
NFTS's thoughts wandered back to that day when he got the blade. He was a regular folk, certainly not the Master he was now. He was wandering around Howe's Cementery without any real purpose. The atmosphere of loneliness was soothing for his soul. Deep in his thoughts, he was sure that no one will interrupt him in a place like this. Why would they? The townspeople claimed that the graveyard is haunted, and many avoided it at all costs.
After spending the entire day there, NFTS felt that it was time to go back. Back to those idiots who didn't try to look beyond the horizon to uncover new lands. Those fools whose only entertainment was spying on local actresses in a shower with their employers. Those who didn't try to go... further. He felt as if he was the only one curious about the lands beyond his reach.
When he approached the gate, NFTS discovered that it was tightly shut. He tried to pry it open. No such luck.
"Dammit. It won't budge", he mentally cursed. "What the hell is going on in here?"
Before he had time to ponder on this, he saw that he was being engulfed by a green mist. Turning around, he saw a knight. It wasn't just a regular man, however. He wore a bright armor over his body... except everything was trasparent. As NFTS was taking this all in, the knight open his mouth and gave a mighty roar that echoed throughout the night.
One would certainly die out of fear right now, but not NFTS. More than ever, he was annoyed by the noise.
"What the fuck was that?" he asked, massaging his ears.
The knight look increduously at him. That's not a reaction he was expecting.
"Aren't you afraid of me, peasant?"
"Not in a least bit", said NFTS. "And don't call me a peasant, if you know what's good for you"
The knight was further taken aback. Usually, the townspeople (who wandered into the graveyard unintentionally) would scream in the air and try to escape after just seeing him. But this man... it was the first time he saw him, and he didn't even flinch.
"Are you the one who closed the gate? If the answer's yes, I would truly appreciate opening it."
The knight felt anger rushing through his entire body. Or maybe it was just a gust of wind, he didn't sport the corporeal form after all.
"You will yield to me, mortal!" he threatned.
NFTS looked slightly amused by this scene.
"And what are you going to do, cut me to pieces with your half-invisible sword?", he said mockingly.
The knight just stood there, dumbfounded. The stranger had a point. It kind of appealed to him.
"I must say... you are the first person who isn't afraid of me"
"Why would I? You're just a ghost"
"Oh, believe me, I would hurt you if I wanted to. I have an army of undead at my disposal, the ones who have at least some body left. They could kill you without a thought if I asked them to"
"You mean, like zomb--"
"SILENCE!", another mighty roar cut through the evening air. "I call them walkers and so should you. They are my army. They are the walking dead, and I am their leader"
"That's kind of cool, actually", thought NFTS to himself.
"We have been long forgotten", continued the knight, "but your courage reignited the faith in me that our legend can be brought back from the dead - no pun intended. I have a strong feeling I've just uncovered a new Master for our Mortal Order"
NFTS perked up. "You mean... me?" he asked, hopefully. Before the knight could respond, however, NFTS asked another question. "What do you mean by saying 'new'?"
The knight looked down, ashamed. "There was an old order... an official one, to be precise. But it became flooded with morons and we were unable to control it." His head rose slowly. "But now we have you. And I believe that you can lead a new one. The Other The Walking Dead Order".
The knight waved his head over one of the tombstones.
"This is where you'll find my sword. Unearth it and take it as yours. You will be recognized as the new leader from this point forward."
NFTS couldn't believe his luck. He was finally going to be SOMEBODY, not just another anybody. He was grateful for the knight who had faith in him.
"Before I get your sword... I have one last question. What is your name? I need to know this. I must be sure that it will never be forgotten again."
The knight looked at him, plasma-teary eyed.
"The New Master... my name is--"
"Tom Hagen has arrived, sir!" announced one of the Order members. The memory of that encounter on the graveyard quickly vanished from NFTS's mind. He had to focus on the task at hand.
Watching as the door opened slowly, he saw a man go inside the chamber. He looked proud - and certainly not afraid of anyone in here. The Order sneered at him, as if he was a simple peasant, ungrateful of being here.
Tom stopped at the centre of the room and looked straight into NFTS's eyes.
"You wanted to see me, Grand Master"
"Oh, I certainly did", spoke NFTS slowly. "You do know why you're here, and you probably know what will happen next"
"I know why I am here", Tom responded, still looking sure of himself. "But I do not know what you plan on doing, the Founding Father."
NFTS pointed to a monitor next to him. A name, 'Tom Hagen', appeared on it. Without a blink of an eye, NFTS smashed through it, all the while observing Tom.
After NFTS took his hand back, the monitor fell to the floor with a loud crack. Tom raised an eyebrow at that.
"Well, I predicted that something like this may happen", he started carefully, "but I think we can solve our problem in a more... diplomatic way".
NFTS narrowed his eyes. This was going to be good.
After the public accusation, NFTS immediately told his fellow Order members to meet him at the headquarters and decided to call Hagen before him to demand satisfaction.
