After visiting NYCC 2014, I learned that popular LEGO toy line Bionicle will be returning in early 2015 after it was cancelled in 2010 and replaced by a more kid friendly series known as Hero Factory after the story was deemed too dark for children. I was overjoyed by this news, as I had been a fan of the toy line ever since its debut in 2001. The last ones I collected were the Toa Inika in 2006, but I still was attached to the line's story, reading periodic comic books sent to Club Lego members. As of now though, I have sold almost all of them, save for two original 2001 To a Mata figures, all of the 2003 Bohrok Kal and To a Nuva figures, and two of the 2004 Toa Metru figures. For anyone that wants to refresh themselves in Bionicle lore for the reboot, here are links to the comic books, movies, and commercials. I've been following this return pretty closely, I loved Bionicle ever since I was about five years old. My favourite sets were the Inika though the Toa Mata/Nuva win in terms of character, no question.
I'll most likely buy the new Toa sets when they're out but I can't really see myself getting into the series as much as I used to be, especially considering it's a reboot.

Same, Toa Inika were always my favorites, but I had remembered more about the Toa Mata/Nuva prior to the reboot's announcement. I'd probably get a set or two for the new sets, but I'll probably just catch up on its lore with the web series that will accompany it.

SO I was just on DA the other day looking up some cool Bionicle fanart, and whose do I happen to see about 5 pages in? I can totally see the Transformers inspiration in Kopeke's face BTW. Kinda looks like Megatron in a way. You ever consider doingMacku and the other two Toa @jakest123?

Kinda looks like Megatron in a way. You ever consider doingMacku and the other two Toa @jakest123? Heh, maybe. They were inspired a lot by the Knight vibe in the Transformers 4 character designs (particularly Optimus and the Dinobots), hence the swords and visors and stuff. I can remember that I would've given them all knight-like weapons, too. (Fire & Ice would've had swords, Water would've had a trident, Air would've had a bow/crossbow, Stone would've had a war hammer, Earth would've had a mace/flail or pickaxe.)

They should have them on shelves in the next few weeks, or you could buy them on Lego.com now.

(That would be Jaller, Kongu and Nuparu from the 2007 Mahri sets). Then again I'm not as obsessive as I once was so I'll probably survive the wait.

£83.94 for all six Toa. Do I, or don't I?
Maybe I'll just get Lewa, Pohatu and Tahu to begin with.

Just bought Tahu and Lewa on Amazon. Should arrive by this time next week.
The question is, which one do I build first?
