I'm actually betting on Rodrik not being dead. We're going to have to have an Ironrath perspective, and that silhouette really looks like him. I'm going to go ahead and say he was probably captured, and by the beginning of the next episode, he'll escape, and that's where we'll get out Ironrath perspective.
I actually really enjoyed that, and I love the art style now, the feel that it gives everything. I'd give it a... hell, a 10/10 probably. I mean, that's what I rated Tales from the Borderlands, and I like this about as much as I liked Tales. I'd honestly say that The Wolf Among Us is looking like it's going to be my least favorite Telltale Game soon(I still think it's great, but both Tales and GoT had awesome premiere episodes, and I'm really looking forward to the rest of the Season, for both).
Was not at all prepared for the ending... or the opening, to be honest. I felt like it balanced the action all right. I doubt Ethan is determinant, is he? Has anyone found this out yet? Or, maybe if "Ludd" is less of a fucking asshole if I legitimately don't attack first? Because, I did draw my(not really mine) sword. I doubt that as well. Still, I liked going around and talking to people as Ethan, the bit where I was confronting Cersei was pretty intense. I found myself a little unhappy with Tyrion though. Every time I said something, he was like, "Clever girl, she seems to talk without actually giving answers".
Of the characters we've seen so far, Gared is probably my favorite. I liked Talia, too, and Duncan.
-snip- Like I said to Jayk, I'm absolutely sure that Asher would come back before Rodrik would. Besides, didn't Rodrik get stabbed in the motherfucking throat? Also, the trailer pretty much confirmed that Talia will be the POV for Ironrath
No, Rodrik was only stabbed in the knee, and then a horse fell on him. He was never inflicted any fatal wounds, aside from it being likely the horse falling him him killed him, but still. Also, considering there are two quotes form Daenerys on the episodes slides, I'm assuming that Essos will be a big part of the story, so I'm unsure if Asher would come back, maybe something will stop him from returning.
I find it likely that Talia could replace Ethan as a POV character, but there's still the matter of the silhouette looking exactly like Rodrik, and Talia not appearing on the main menu screen with the other POV characters, and not even being given a silhouette or something.

It would seem odd then, that the last silhouette still looks like, to me, Rodrik. Ethan was no longer on the main menu screen after the episode, and the one silhouette was shown to be Asher, so it clearly changed after the episode ended. If Talia is to replace Ethan as a playable character, then why wouldn't they show her, or at least another silhouette? I think it's quite possible that Talia will be the POV character for Ironrath, but I'm still betting on Rodrik being alive. I didn't know about the silhouette thing, but that silhouette doesn't look like Rodrik to me. I think the Ironrath POV has to be Asher then, since the messenger could be sent to him. Perhaps it passes time with Gared, and we spend a month of time with him, then it switches back over to Ironrath as Asher either comes led by Malcolm, or on his own after hearing news of Gregor and Rodrik.
I'd rather just continue this in the other thread, having the same conversation in two threads seems a little pointless.

I actually didn't know about the silhouette screen, but now that I do, I still doubt that it's Rodrik. It simply looks too narrow to be Rodrik. I feel that we haven't yet met that final silhouette.

He has the exact same hairstyle. If I knew how to use gimp or something, I'd create a comparasion or something, but I'm 99.9% sure that it's him. Well, 95%.

Regardless of who the final protagonist is, I am supremely disappointed with Ethan's death. He is the only interesting protagonist so far. Sure, Gared seems cool, and Mira has her work cut out for her, but neither held the intrigue that Ethan did.

I'm thinking the offhand comment about Royland teaching Talia swordfighting might come into play at some point.

Considering the Episode is called "The Lost Lords", there's a slim chance it could be Rodrik. Very slim though. Chances are that if it's Rodrik on the slide it's a misleading Amid The Ruins style troll.

I just realized, I REALLY want to see a mute playthrough during that final scene.

Hey, if we do play as Rodrik in Episode 2, then maybe saving Bowen or not will have some effect, he'd be captured as well, and help us escape if he's alive(and probably die soon after), or we'd have to escape ourselves. Just a thought.

Well fuck me. It's...pretty much what I expected GoT to be. Brutal, cold, unrelenting. My favorites were Ethan and Talia, mainly because of the conflicting dynamic between the two, but unfortunately a certain asshat had to ruin our special fairytale. Did quite like the episode, not as much as TFTBL, but a strong start nevertheless. I'll add more later.
