That was mighty impressive to say the least.

Oh, something else about Season Two that was revealed quite a while ago, while Nic Pizzolato is still writing Season Two, Cary Funkunaga isn't returning for the Second Season. Probably because he's working on the two-part remake for "It".
So... that's a shame. I mean, he was behind most of the memorable scenes from the series(the 5-minute long tracking shot at the end of episode 4, the entire Carcosa scene at the end of Season 1, and Rust's LSD Hallucinations to name a few things. Also, the opening of the series, with he fire and the tree and everything).

Okay so I'm only on Episode 4. It's a great show so far and I'm gonna continue soon.

Season 2 premiere was great. The characters are very interesting and believable.
I finished Season 1 a few days ago, fucking great ending.
Preview for 2x02

Eh, didn't love the premiere, I think it might be trying to establish far to many characters, and only one of them is really interesting, go Collin Farrell.

Slow start, not that I was expecting anything other than that. The style they're going for seems a bit off. I'm sure I'll warm up to it as the season goes on. It's just so drastically different than season one.
Three things I loved:
1. Colin Farrell. Fuckin' AWESOME when he beat the pulp out of that guy in front of his son. And pretty hilarious in a not-funny-at-all way when he called his son a "fat pussy."
2. Rachel McAdams is SMOKING FIRE hot. To get a shot of her perfect ass so early on was so unexpected and great.
3. Can't tell you how good it is having Tim Riggins back on TV.

A character from Friday Night Lights IIRC. Played by Taylor Kitsch, the guy who plays Paul in True Detective

Played by Taylor Kitsch, the guy who plays Paul in True Detective Oh, now I feel dumb, okay then, I honestly don't really like his character so far, though that might be because he was barely in the episode. Also I am still on the fence when it comes to Vince Vaughn, I could go either way, need to see more to make a call.

I will say one thing, I already miss the guy who directed all the episodes last season, man was he great! I doubt we will see anything on the level of the last 15 minutes of Who Goes There?
