Also, I think I finally got why Martin Brown died. I didn't get until now that the Actress went off the script when she shot him, even though I had read the script thing before. I guess it was a real gun because they weren't expecting her to use it?
....But then, the director's response doesn't make any sense....
I honestly still have no idea, and it's going to continue to bug me.

The "This is all a dream, right?" sequence actually is a dream.

Only related to Pardo because Pardo wants that to be how he's remembered.

There was a theory that Martin Brown and Manny Pardo are the same person, but that's a little far fetched...

Do you mean that the director meant for it to be a snuff film, not that Martin's killing was an accident? The brings up a few questions, too. Such as why everything else is fake, and why the Actress is surprised that Martin is dead. Also, the director talking to Martin as if he's still alive. Though, the theory that Pardo is hallucinating the film stuff makes sense, and seems to be the most accepted theory. That's what I'm going with, anyway.

It's so weird that Pardo and The Son are becoming such fan-favorites everywhere else on the internet...

The actress is surprised because she didn't know that it was a real gun. She probably thought that she was supposed to fuck Brown up. The director talking is likely just to avoid suspicion. That's the impression I get. I could go into detail, but I'm bored and lazy.

Though, it being set up as a snuff film makes a little more sense. Then, Richard saying that there'd be a twist at the end could have been Martin's sub conscience if he suspected that the director was up to anything. And by everything else, I mean that if the director had planned to have Martin die for real, why were all the other deaths fake? We see people get up and be totally fine once a scene is done, both in the intro and in Final Cut. I'm pretty sure you can see the Swat Guy outside the room.

Maybe because of a hundred actors/extras wound up dead during the filming then the cops would move in and shut the whole thing down? The Director can easily explain away Martin's death as an "Accident" provided that it's the only real death, saying that they accidentally used a real gun instead of a prop. Not only does Martin's "Accidental" death during the shooting get people talking about the film ("No such thing as bad publicity" and all that) his death is pretty much as real as it can possibly be in the film.

Huh, yeah. Makes sense that he'd do it for publicity, especially since Martin Brown is a well know, respected actor. Yeah, it does make a lot of sense that the Director would have planned that.

I know some people here didn't like Hotline Miami 2 as much as the original. Just want to know what everyone thinks of this:
(obviously I disagree)
