Seriously, I really want to know how you made that key art. It looks SO REAL. Like if Telltale made it themselves! Gawh, it looks awesome as fuck. Here's an incredibly quick explanation of how I did it. - Extracted the mesh files and stuff, did all the stuff you need to do to get the models in 3ds max.
- Found a .dds to .png converter, then when I had the textures as PNGs I edited them.
- Converted .png back to .dds and applied them to the model in 3ds max
- Trial-and-error with 3ds max and posing characters ensues (characters are in separate files, I pose them separately)
- Render image
- Put the images in GIMP as separate layers and add the logo in.
- redraw the outlines along with any missing lines, add any extra effects (the characters' pupils had to be edited in, along with the hair details and the blood on Vince's arm)
- Find a suitable screenshot for the background and heavily modify it
- blur the background so it doesn't look as shoddy as it would if it wasn't blurred
- bam, done.

Rough episode for Becca. Not a great judgment call on leaving the truck, still not coping well with the loss of part of her strong hand, shoots Vince. Poor kid.

BTW there's on thing that I noticed... In the key art Vince is nursing his shoulder already, yet somehow I completely failed to realize that it meant that he was going to get hurt there... Damn I'm dumb

Kind of sucks how she's the one who always ends up in those situations. Vince and Wyatt took longer than expected, prompting her to look for them She was only bitten as she swung her arm around to kill a walker only for her hand to be caught in its mouth, and similarly she shot Vince as she turned, not knowing he was in the path of her bullet. BTW there's on thing that I noticed... In the key art Vince is nursing his shoulder already, yet somehow I completely failed to realize that it meant that he was going to get hurt there... Damn I'm dumb I thought it was too obvious originally, so I'm glad that no one really pointed it out.
