They just confirmed Destiny 2 is being made, no surprise, really. Unless they have an intense marketing campaign, it's not gonna sell well.

That's actually really awesome: Reminds me of when Gearbox put some Borderlands fan who died of cancer into BL2 as a rare NPC that gives rare weapons.

Both games did it. The guy in Skyrim is (I believe) also a companion if you complete the small quest to convince his father to let him become an adventurer. The dude in BL2 gives you free guns with decent stats. I always liked the guy in BL2. In my most recent playthrough, in fact, I had gone through the entire game without seeing him once. Then on the final quest of the game where you finally go to kill Handsome Jack once and for all, where you can talk to the NPCs around Sanctuary for free items just before the fight, I found the guy for the first time that playthrough. He handed me a Torgue gun that was better than anything I owned and wished me luck. I used that gun for the entire quest and even used it to kill Jack. It was just a really nice moment. Out of all my BL2 memories, stumbling upon him like that before the final fight is one of the best.
