Goddamn it! I didn't actually know it was a PS4 release only. I hate console exclusivity. It's on PC, too. You can pre-order it on steam now, actually. Oh good, I took one look at metacriti, and it said PS4 only. Several reviewers said the same, good to know. I don't want to miss the Jake Rodkin/Sean Vannaman train.

Just finished it. Man this was a good game. Not better than Oxenfree, but still good.
I contribute most of my dislike for this game towards the ending. While I absolutely LOVED the game's story. The ending to me just felt so...I don't know, mundane? I think that's the right word. I mean, it's kinda like what happened to Rachel in Life is Strange; you're expecting this HUGE plot twist that the game's been building up this entire time, but then it just turns out to be some sort of normal, down-to-earth situation. I guess though that adds to the charm of the game though; Firewatch is just you going about your daily life as, well a firewatch for lack of better terms. In a way, I think it's actually kind of good the game ended on a normal note. It began normal, and ended normal, not with some big plot twist like Life is Strange.
Overall, I think I'd give this an 8/10 compared to Oxenfree's 9/10.

About how long did it take you to complete, Sonic?

About how long did it take you to complete, Sonic? About 3 1/2 hours. It's actually REALLY short, but that didn't detract from the game at all. Still prefer Oxenfree over this though.

So that was.......
......what the fuck was the point.
I really enjoyed it, but everything near the end just made me feel bitter about the whole experience.

I'm up to day 64, not at the end yet so I won't spoiler tag.
This game is stunning. Positively gorgeous. Fuck, for a place I've never been, I love Wyoming so much.
The sleepwalking sequence bit was so well done. It felt like something that was right in the middle of dream and reality. Maybe that it was the first bit of dead-of-the-night play in the game. Maybe it was that the scene came out of nowhere much like dreams and the unconscious can't really be placed or timed or prepared for. It just felt so spot on.
oh, and, uh, forgive me, but ah... Erin Yvette's voice telling "me" I have a tiny dick? Wow. Never thought something like that would happen, what a world. I think I can die happy now? Because it is SCARY how much I'm into it. I'm going to add "Erin Yvette's voice" and "humiliation" to my fetishes, then crush them together to form an entirely original, awesome fetish. They could have made a spin-off that was just her character slinging insults from the lake and it'd be a 10/10. OK, I'm done.

I really wanna like this game. But it's buggy as hell for me. I got it off steam, it ran like dogshit on high settings, I put it on medium, still dog shit, I put it on low, oh hey, it actually works, lol just kidding, fuck you, we're gonna crash every so often for no reason, and they'll be constant weird glitches that I don't even know how to explain.
If anyone has seen me on steam coming on and off Firewatch constantly, it's because the game crashed and I needed to reset. And it happened a lot.

It's probably fucking up because you cant run it, I mean it has frame drops on the PS4 so if you're running it on a low end PC then you're definitely gonna have problems.

Well you clearly cant run it which isn't really the games fault, best thing I'd say you can do would be to try and get a refund, it's not likely if you've got over 2 hours played but it's possible.

I had some frame rate issues on my PS4 and the game froze once. I wasn't overly impressed with the game in that area. As a whole, I really enjoyed it. Maybe a bit disappointed given my outrageous hype and expectations for it. I suppose the ending was a bit of a letdown given the huge conspiracy that seemed to be boiling. Here's the thing, though... I think it plays right into the environment of the game. Watching for fires is lonely and boring. You go stir crazy and latch onto any form of entertainment. You become paranoid in the isolation. I think it works for the most part. Gotta ask... Did you guys try to get with Delilah? On the first night of the June Fire I side-stepped most of the romantic tension. Then in the last scene, I told her she should come to Boulder. Sorry, Dementia Wife.
