So, post your own thoughts about season 2 as a whole now that it's over.
In my opinion, this season was "okay-ish" but it could of been much better. I feel like some of the characters were treated as plot devices to develop Clementine's character and the only characters I was attached to in this season were only Sarah and Kenny honestly.
I feel like they should of done more with Omid and Christa in this season, not just kill off Omid for shock value and have Christa being separated from Clem just to set up Clem as the protagonist and of course, we never see Christa again and we never find out if she is still alive or dead. I mean, why even bother keeping them alive in season 1 if they din't do jack shit with them in this season?
The cabin group had lots of potential but unfortnately, the only characters to get some nice development were Luke, Nick and Sarah honestly. I tried so hard to feel sad for them when they died but I din't feel anything, because I din't have a powerful relationship with them. Ok, we learn a bit about Luke in episode 5 but I think they should of saved that for the episodes 2, 3 or 4.
About Kenny, many people were happy when he returned in episode 2 but some got immediately tired of him in episodes 3, 4 and especially episode 5 because of him being the centre of attention and because of that, the other characters din't get any spotlight and others feel that his relationship with Clem was forced because we never saw them interacting with each other in season 1. In my opinion, Kenny's return was great but I think the cabin group deserved more development than him in episode 3. Though, the two Kenny endings where Kenny lives and they get to Wellington were perfect in my opinion and I almost felt like crying if you choose to stay in Wellington.
As for the determinants in this season...yeah...the best determinant deaths in this season are Pete and Alvin, while Nick and Sarah's determinant fates really sucked and they could of been handled much better.
I'm really disappointed that the 400 Days choices din't have any impact whatsoever on season 2. We all thought that Telltale would make some great storylines depending if the 400 Days main characters go with Tavia or not. And the only thing we get for getting the characters to go with Tavia were just some shitty cameos and we never hear from them again. So much potential wasted.
Another problem I have with this season is that no matter what you say to the characters, they will still treat you the same while in season 1, if you said anything bad to Kenny/Lilly, they would hate your guts.
About the choices, some choices were hard like for example saving Pete or Nick, sit at the table with Kenny or Luke, cutting off Sarita's arm or not, leaving Sarah or leaving her behind and of course, Kenny Vs Jane choice and the ending where you choose to stay at Wellington or stay with Kenny.
I really liked the music in this season, especially the theme for Carver.
These are my verdicts for the episodes:
All That Remains-7.0
A House Divided-8.5
In Harm's Way-6.0
Amid The Ruins-7.0
No Going Back-8.0
Bottom line, I would give this season as a whole a 7/10
When they're gonna make a season 3, I hope they will learn from their mistakes and try to make season 3 very good.
Well, this was my opinion about season 2. Post your own thoughts about season 2 as a whole.
