Decided to make this thread so that people won't have to creep around using spoiler tags and shit, instead discussing stuff freely. Plus the Final Chapter and Epilogue will be one of the last posts on the other thread. Also I'm gonna post trivia and you guys can ask me why or why I didn't do certain things in the fic, what happened to certain characters (if I'm willing to disclose such information) and other general discussion crap. So, ask/discuss away. We can start with people voting on their favourite episode or something. Facts & TriviaFun Fact #1:I'm surprised nobody noticed Becca in the Episode 5 slide.   After Shel's death, Miles was initially supposed to show up and kill Marshall, but I let Becca do it because Miles already got to shoot the thingy in Marshall's room, plus Becca kind of needed it more. Fun Fact #3 - The Ending(s)There was a joke VincexBecca ending that we came up with in the shoutbox, but this is an actual Alternate Ending from my notes doc:  The Outpost was initially planned to be on the way to Wellington (it's kind of hinted at that early on) but I made the piece of paper Wyatt found actually hint at other safezones. A VERY early idea for the ending had a guy pulling up in a car (with maybe a few other people) and he'd be all like, "So, I take it you folks are the ones who run this Outpost, right?" and then Vince would reply, "You have no fucking idea." or something. Becca was supposed to be amputated in Episode 3, around the time that Vince first woke up after blacking out on the night with Marshall. In the final chapter he runs into Becca and Miles who are fending off walkers and they all escape with no injuries, but it was originally planned that Becca would be bitten then. I didn't go through with it because it would've been too close to Shel's death and would've been overkill. Fun Fact #5Ralph was gonna make it to Episode 4 and he would've been killed by Ivan (leaving Miles to make it to Episode 5). But then I decided to let Miles have his heroic sacrifice, becoming a victim of his own short temper.
Also no one would've died in Episode 3 and Ralph had kind of lived out his purpose (reuniting the group and telling them what to steal from the mall) so he died where he did. If he survived there probably would've been some tension between him and Lucia. Fun Fact #6Ivan and Ethan were originally the same character (retaining the name Ethan) - this is shown in the Episode 4 slide where a hooded figure that looks like Ethan is holding a gun to the back of Vince's head, when in the story it was Ivan who originally did this.
Early ideas for the bandits included 3 additional members; a man wielding a crossbow, a female bandit, and another (more forgettable) male bandit. They were mainly cut because keeping them in would give the bandits more of an advantage in the final battle and their characters were more forgettable than the other bandits. Fun Fact #7Miles was originally going to make it to Episode 5. I kind of regret killing him, but I think I gave him as good of a send off as he was going to get, no matter if it was premature or not. Fun Fact #8Lucia was originally known as Zoey early on, before I decided on a name that better reflected her hispanic roots. Fun Fact #9Daniel was originally shot in the stomach, not stabbed. |

I can't believe this is over. I'm considering your fic canon. What Telltale gave us with those characters is bullshit. But this was a really great story.
I'm surprised that only Ivan and his group died in the final chapter. But I like what you did. Better to have more characters survive, then to almost completely wipe the cast. And we still don't know what the fuck happened to Russell and Lucia.
I don't know which episode was my favourite, I need to think about it for a while. Fourth or the fifth one, I can't decide.

I was going to kill one of them at some point, but I decided that they all either had unfinished plot arcs or that I could develop the characters further. I think that if anyone was gonna get the chop it would've been Vince or Wyatt, but then they would've been left leaderless or Annie would've been destroyed. |

I like that outcome. In the walking dead, anyone can die, but not everyone dies. That's what I hope Telltale understood and will take the route you did, with more than one or two characters surviving. Probably not. How I'd rank the episodes, starting with the one I like most. Episode 5. Episode 4. Episode 2. Episode 3. Episode 1. I'd agree with that. I may like Episode 4 slightly more, though, because Episode 5 kind of ended up with the group going back and forth until the final battle. |

This, unless telltale ever decides to bring the characters from 400 days (or confirm they're dead) this might as well be what happened (at least if you convince everybody of going to Carver's place in 400 Days  ) Can't decide which was my favourite chapter, I enjoyed the ending of Chapter 2, Chapter 4 and Chapter 5 the most, but I really feel I can't choose once since I liked from somewhat different reasons, the prologue and the references to what happened In Harm's Way were also a nice touch. Edit: Which hand did Vince got stabbed at by Ivan? |

Really sad that this is over. I agree, it's canon. Very glad this group gets to continue on together. They're a great, unconventional family. Only seems right considering the hell the four of them have been through together.
My favorite episode was the one with Marshall. Ivan episode a close #2.
