Though I don't have an idea for a plot yet, I'm thinking about making my own game one day in the style of a RPG horror game or a point and click or visual novel (or a mix of all three). There are two problems though:
1) I am horribly dumb when it comes to programming. I try my best to understand and it completely goes over my head.
2) It's really hard to find information on how to make/program a RPG horror game or a point and click or visual novel.
So, I'd really appreciate it if you guys could help me find tutorials or walkthroughs on how to make all three of those games. The more simplified the instructions the better, but honestly I'll take anything at this point.
Again, that's tutorials or walkthroughs on making/programming 1) an RPG game 2) visual novel, and 3) point and click game.
Thank you.

RPG Maker Is supposed to be pretty easy to use and I've seen some great stuff made with it including horror games, and it goes on sale quite a lot so you coulld get it for half price around Christmas, It might be worth looking into.

I'm sure you can make something good, got any ideas? Thank you I don't have an actually idea yet, but I'd like to make a game in the same way TTG does; point and click, having various dialog options that characters remember, and major choices that change the plot as you go on. RPG Maker Is supposed to be pretty easy to use and I've seen some great stuff made with it including horror games, and it goes on sale quite a lot so you coulld get it for half price around Christmas, It might be worth looking into. I was thinking that I might use that one, except I wonder if I'll be able to do the kind of thing I want if I were to use that (TTG-like game style I mean). Also I'm still on the fence as to whether I want it to play like a RPG or a visual novel, so I'm trying to find stuff on how to make visual novels too. But maybe I could make a visual novel using the RPG maker programming? I'm not sure.

Well, I don't know how I could help you but oh boy, if we had something like that, most people would make their own Walking Dead Game season 2 because some din't like it and etc.

I know it can do choices and dialogue options, but I'm not sure if it has the ability to make those choices matter longer than the moment you click on them. Like if I were to make something I character is supposed to remember, can I program that later on into the game? I don't know.

I was going through some stuff and someone reccomended a free program called Twine: twinery.org/ which apparently is perfect for what your trying to do, although I've never used it or even seen it before now myself.

"A note on resources: Twine, while intended as an interactive fiction engine in itself, is an absolutely invaluable and free) way to plot and imagine branching dialogues and plots without getting confused. I wish wish wish I'd started using it earlier. Preferably from the start, but definitely before I embarked on this event." rpgmaker.net/games/5988/blog/11513/

I've seen this before, but I never really read much until now. I could possibily make all the pathways on there and then put it into RPG maker. Hmm...

Yeah, where you would probably kill Kenny right off the bat.
No thanks.
