The temptation to buy is so strong. Yet, the fear coupled with the $60 price tag are so strong too. This is going to sound like a baby question. Where does this dude: fall on a scale of 1 to 10 when talking about the scariest looking things in the game? I personally would say 4. Or... maybe 5. Huh. Well. That doesn't instill a lot of hope for me and my poor baby heart. I mean, that bro ain't that scary just to look at. Popping out at you out of nowhere is a whole different ballgame. Can't imagine a 10 jumpscare. I'd probably just die right on my couch.

Honestly, the scariest moment isn't a jumpscare part, it's just reeeeaaally tense.

I kind of wish there was a little more of an epilogue, rather than the very small bits we get with each character who survived during the end credits. Like, just get a liiiitttle bit more information on what happened to those who survived. Also, Sonic: When you said Jess died, I thought you got the same thing I did. You did not. See, when I reached Jess, she fell down the elevator shaft with half her face missing...
Also, trying to save Emily as Mike gets Mike killed? Huh.

She looked dead, but then she started to get up, weakly saying "help" to Mike. Mike tries to pull her off the elevator, but it falls down. She doesn't show up again until chapter 9, when she wakes up and has to get through like 5 Wendigos.
And I think you mean MATT saving Emily. What happens is that Emily still falls, but Matt falls off the Radio tower onto a different level. He walks around for a bit before getting dragged by a Wendigo and gets his face shoved through a hook. I've heard though if he has the flare gun he uses it to save himself, but I haven't seen anyone do this.

I mean, I've heard it's possible for all 8 to live... I suppose he's technically still alive... but uh, not really. I just didn't bother trying to save Emily since I liked Matt more. Though, the reason I shot Emily was because I'm actually interested in Wendigos, and knew that a lot of tribes did believe their bites turned people into other Wendigos. But, yeah, only found out afterwards that Until Dawn uses some of the other Wendigo folklore. The only regret I have is that maybe Mike was sent to jail for that. I'd like to think at least Sam would stand by him... And maybe Ashley since she was the one who even brought up the bite and that it might be "infectious".

I must say, its a shame I don't have a PS4, this is one hell of a game. It's a bit like Heavy Rain... if Heavy Rain was written better and the choices mattered more. It helps that the writers clearly understand all those horror cliches and mocks them a bit while still being scary. I respect that, though perhaps they could have toned down the amount of false jumpscares? I know they are common as hell in modern horror movies, but a little less would be nice.

Hey I got a question, isn't the mythology of the Wendigo not quite like zombies? I remember from school vaguely, that the Wendigo was a demon that possess people that dare practice cannibalism. Am I anywhere near correct or was my class just full of shit?

Am I anywhere near correct or was my class just full of shit? That's basically right. The Wendigo existed in different forms for many different tribes, but generally, it starts as a spirit. It possess people who have either already practiced cannibalism, or it possess them and places the urge to do so inside of them. When they do, then the Wendigo is able to fully possess them and manifest itself in a physical form. From there, things differ a lot. Some believed they could only see movement and had armor like skin such as in Until Dawn. While the Until Dawn Wendigos are mostly human, some versions of the Wendigo are much more monster like. Also, some believed their bites/scratches made other Wendigos, while others believed that only Cannibalism could do so. But no, they really aren't like zombies. They aren't dead, they're fast, and they're smart.

Well I respect this game for having these creatures, because frankly I always found them somewhat fascinating.
