I honestly wasn't really expecting it to be as scary as it is.....
Also, I'm finally stuck.... I think.
It's a lot harder than I expected, too.

Thanks to Pika and his little guide Big Z isn't the only one enjoying Silent Hill for the first time. Got my stuff all set up and played the first few minutes of Silent Hill 2 (If I discuss anything about the plot of the game I'll do it in spoiler tags for Zyphon's sake). The controls are gonna take a little getting used to as I'm using the only viable controller I have on hand, a 360 controller, because using mouse and keyboard looks like it would be a nightmare for this. But I think I'll be able to manage.

But I think I'll be able to manage. It's honestly not that bad playing with a keyboard. I've bound everything to the left side of my keyboard, and I can pretty much just play the entire game with my left hand. (Then again, I have no idea if the controls are different in Silent Hill 2, and therefore, if it would be harder to play with a keyboard.)

Since they've all been console only titles as far as I know I figured just giving in and using a controller would be easiest since I used to play a lot of Xbox back in the day. One would think that both games would have similar controls, but I've heard that Silent Hill 3's controls were much better than the previous two games and that, gameplay-wize, it's the best out of the original ones.

Heads up, don't get ROMS off of CoolRom.com, When I did it installed a bunch of adware. Thankfully it was really easy to remove and doesn't look to have installed any harmful viruses. So just be very wary of where you get ROMS

Soo... emulators is there on for 360? Doubtful, at least I've never seen one.

Soo... emulators is there on for 360? There's an HD Collection for 360 that has SH2 and 3.

Again, its a BAD HD remake, I swear! Don't bother! It's buggy, unfinished, and the voice acting is somehow worse, and they replaced the original voice actor for James with Troy Baker. How does the voice quality get worse? I don't know, ask Konami!

This is basically a Stephen King story.
This is any Castle Rock Novella/Short Story he's ever written. Not that that's a bad thing, I love Stephen King's works, but it does feel really familiar.
Also, pretty obvious they took inspiration from King when there's a huge reference to him in all of the games(unless the layout of the town changes from each game?), Bachman Road. If that isn't obvious, Stephen King's Pseudonym under which he published a lot of his darker stories like Rage, The Long Walk, and Thinner, was Richard Bachman. I'd even say it's a coincidence, but there's also a reference to Dean Koontz with Koontz Street, so I'd say Bachman Road is a reference to Richard Bachman/Stephen King.

Made it to the hospital in SH2. The game is creepy. Like I'll be strolling through the streets when suddenly my radio starts going crazy and I can hear skittering/roaring coming from somewhere nearby but I can't see any of it because of the fog. I feel my way blindly through, see nothing, and once I'm far enough away everything gets quiet again. Scary stuff.

So the radio thing makes it into Silent Hill 2. Cool.
Right now, I can only take one hit, and I have to go down Bachman Road avoiding tons of monsters. Lots of quick saving with the emulator.

WELL FUCK.
I missed stuff in the Hospital.
So if I want a certain ending to the game, I have to go back to the fucking Hospital, which means re-doing quite a bit of the game. *sigh*

Okay, so the only reason I went back is because it's something that helps me get the good ending. And can I just say that it's so fucking stupid... I mean, it's not even like I missed something obvious. I had to pick something up that looked like it was in the background and that I had no reason to pick up, and then use it on something that I had no idea I was supposed to use it on, and it's not even something that seems remotely important at the time... So no I have to go all the way through the hospital again, and the sewers, the antique shop, the Otherworld version of the town... Just.... Oh my God.... For anyone who may play the first Silent Hill: In the hospital, before you go to the Otherworld, you need to pick up a plastic bottle in the kitchen. In the Director's Office, there's a red liquid on the floor, with a message saying it's from a vial that looks like it was purposefully smashed. Use the plastic bottle on the liquid. Why you need it/when to use it(but it spoils something from the game...): Then, later, there's a part where you go to the Amusement Park. Cybil is there, but she's possessed and trying to kill you. Rather than killing her, use the red liquid. Minor spoiler for something unrelated: There's also a tape you can find in the Hospital's basement storeroom. you can play it in Room 302.
