Exactly what the title says: what sort of characters would you like to see in season 2 DLC?
I hope they keep the 400 days format with 5 interconnected stories, but not necessarily have the characters meet up. Eventually. They would all play a role in season three.
Here is what I would love:
* A story about the leader of Wellington before she became the leader of Wellington (I don't think any women have actually been the primary founders of a settlement before, and because why not?)
* A Older sister and a younger brother. In all two seasons, we haven't seen that (assuming Arvo was lying about his sister). It would be kinda cool to play as the younger brother, in my humble opinion. Ages could be..... 15 and 19?
* An Old man. We're talking Pete age, maybe a bit older. Maybe with a small group that gets ambushed by bandits.
* A Canadian who was visiting some American relatives. Considering Michigan and Canada are close by, this is quite possible.
* A loner who has hardly interacted with anyone else gets found and rescued by a group. I'm gonna say make this character a man because we don't need Molly 3.0.
What types of characters would you like to see?

I'd like to see someone who's an asshole, but not necessarily bad.
Larry was close, but he did try to kill Lee. He was kinda justified in doing so, but we never saw him do something good.
Mike was kind of an asshole when we first met him, but he's not, really.
Vernon was determinately an asshole, depending on whether or not you threatened him, but he also beat the shit out of whoever you left behind, and stole your boat.
Then there's Kenny... There are people who unironically name themselves "TeamKennyAlways". I want someone a little less polarizing, and a little more of a total asshole. I know many people whose words are dickish, but whose actions are anything but. A character like that would be nice.

Remember Milton from the TV Show? The thing I found interesting about him was that he thought to record the the events that have happened since the turn. Milton was too nerdy and socially awkward, but I think it'd be interesting to play as a writer or historian, and have that play into something. Carrying around a notebook, recording the things that happen to them. I find that interesting.
Someone like The Man from Cormack McCarthy's "The Road". A resourceful, untrustful loner. Simple. I know Gavin Hammon says he draws inspiration form that character for Kenny, but really, I don't think Kenny is all that similar.
Homeless person. Not like Chuck, probably a lot younger. To see things form the perspective of someone who had no home even before the Turn would be interesting.
I like the idea of a brother and sister as well. Though, I don't believe that Arvo was lying for some reason. I bet the Russians have a camp, and that's where she is.

The vast majority of homeless people (at least in my area) are 40 or older. I'd say Chuck was 50. There's one homeless guy where I live. Always carries around an umbrella, lives under a bridge. I think he's around 30. Really likes to talk to people if they've got the time. Basically, he should be a character in the game. |

That could be inserted into a sibling relationship. Playing as a 16 year old trying to deal with his older sister pushing him a lot? That would be interesting. Maybe a younger brother who refuses to listen to anything their older brother (the player) says? And yells at anybody who repeats good advice to him that he cannot get through his thick fucking skull? Oh wait, that's me and my little brother. |
