(!) Warning this post will contain a lot of spoilers and swearing even though most of my posts contain swearing so there's nothing new there.... Over to you TKA!
Thanks um... Strange warning person. Let me just tell you now, this is my opinion, ok? We good? Good, ok lets begin.
Season 2 episode 1 was generally a big what the fuck for me. It all started at the beginning, where Omid gets shot, in the chest.... Seriously what the actual fuck? That was probably the quickest and worst death I have ever seen in my entire gaming history and I have had a lot of games. The reason it is the worst death ever is because of how it is so quick and how badly it played out. Omid was a great character should have lasted a lot longer than he did. In season 1 he doesn't get as much character development as Christa as he is sick in episode 4. He makes up for lost time in episode 5 and I would have expected him to last a lot longer, become a fatherly figure....
But nope. Telltale or TrollTale kill him off in the first few minutes. And for what? Shock value, that's it. When I saw his death I just stared blankly at the screen and the only thing I could think about was 'Goddammit Telltale....'. Omid deserved a better death than that, the fact that it was for shock value only (IMO, you'll see this popping up often) just makes it seem so worthless. Omid deserved better, way, way, way better.
But it gets worse! Christa comes in and shoots the bitch that kills Omid. That's not the worst part btw, the worse part is that she has a baby bump. One minute she's standing over Omid's corpse the next it's a huge 16 months time skip, and she's skinny as hell just like in season 1. What the fuck happened to the goddamn baby?! That's the problem, we don't know! That has bad writing written all over it, seeing that seriously pissed me off.
Also that's my other problem, 16 months time skip, what happened to the baby in that time?! What happened to Omid after he was shot, how did Clementine and Christa get those cloths, how did they get to that forest, how did they survive that long?! We don't know that's the problem! The time skips in season 1 were well done but this one was absolute garbage.
Moving onto Christa. What the actual fuck happened to her? If you give that guy water he doesn't give you shit, it was a waste of water! Also, Winston. Woah he had no relevance to this story what so ever and when he died the only thing I could think of was 'Meh, asshole deserves it'. Christa and Omid gone in the first few minutes? That was a horribly played out, the only reason they died, if Christa is dead of course, was to get Clementine on her own. That was the only purpose of their deaths.
Now to Sam. Sam, the dog, the probably only redeeming thing that happens. And guess what? They kill him off in the same episode he was introduced. Fucking great.
Lets have a look at the Cabin crew. Again, what the fuck? What is with all the assholes? The majority of the group are just assholes with only Luke and Sarah really being that 'nice'. But you know what? I don't give an actual fuck about any of them, there characters are uninteresting, all of them, especially the assholes. I would pick the drugstore group over them any day, but it looks like we're stuck with them all the way up to episode 3. Fucking great.
The final choice, between those two assholes, what were there names? I don't even remember they were that uninteresting.... Pete and Nick, that's it. What the actual fuck was the point of that choice? If you choose Pete, Nick survives, if you choose Nick, then Pete flat out dies. What the fuck? That's not how choices work.
Also Nick. Turns out he was the guy with a ball cap and sideburns in the trailer and you know what? I am fucking pissed. I would have expected telltale to bring Kenny back this episode but nope. His fate is going to be explored, there miles away from Savannah now, it's impossible to show him dead or undead now. It has completely ruined the surprise and you know what? If telltale bring Kenny back and pull an 'Omid' on me I swear to god I am going to write a letter to them of how badly episode 1 was done. IMO. And I'm being serious, deadly serious when I say that.
In summary, this episode was a complete let down and was not worth the wait at all. I'm glad I haven't bought it because I don't think I will now. TWAU, I think I'm looking forward to that more than this and that scares me when I say that. I would go as far to say that this does not deserve to be apart of TWD game, but that's a bit much. Season 1 was way, way, way better though.
And that's why I hate episode 1, All That Remains. Talk amongst yourselves.

the episode was okay, but in th elong run: It was a shock episode to set everything up.
Since this is apparently closer to the show then the comics, I have a feeling it won't be as good, I Think I just need to get used to some of the characters and I have a feeling judging from the pics that Rebecca's just having hormonal issues (She's pregnant, It's like a nonstop period basically.)

Ok.
1. I hate it how the two strangers from the scene from No Time Left were actually Omid and Christa. I mean really? I knew people speculated to be Omid and Christa but I never thought that the answer would be so obvious. Why din't they just reveal Omid and Christa instead of making us speculate about the two figures for an entire year? 2. Ok, Omid's death. I just hate it when characters die for shock values. Seriously, it worked for Carley/Doug and Lee but it won't work forever. Seriously, maybe they should of killed him off in episode 3 or so or have a Omid or Christa choice but no, they just kill him off. What was the point of making Omid and Christa Clementine's new parents? It would of been much better if both Omid and Christa sacrificed themselves to save Clementine from the bandits or so. And also, what happened to Omid and Christa's baby? 3. Sam. At first, I thought that Sam will become Clementine's new friend and give him a emotional death scene to make us feel sad. But no, they just kill him off immediately and it was horrible to see him in pain just like that. You know, I'm a big dog lover and I have lots of dogs. Unfortnately, I had some other dogs and they all died. One died because it was killed by somebody, two died because of old age, three disappeared and were never found again and one died because he was sick. I thought it was horrible with the death dog from episode 4 and the dead puppy from 400 Days but Telltale is really pushing it with the dog from All That Remains. I'm a bit depressed because of this. And right now, my dog got into a fight with some other dogs and he hurt his leg and it was bleeding. Seriously Telltale, ENOUGH WITH DEAD DOGS! 4. The new group. Seriously, this group is... Too assholic. These characters aren't as interesting as the drugstore group. And also, why should I give a crap about this new group considering they are going to die anyways in episode 3 or 4? Also, about the Nick and Pete choice, I honestly din't care about Nick and Pete like how I cared about Carley and Doug.
And you know what's the worst part? People say that this episode is much better than a New Day? Realy?! No, the first episode is much better because that was the beggining of Lee and Clementine's relationship, the characters were much more interesting and you got know them much better while you don't have time to know the new group much better. Yes I know that maybe they will develop these characters somehow but when they will do that, they will just get killed so it won't matter anyways. Well this was my vent review, sorry if I sounded kind of a jerk but I am just a bit angry.

Yeah, no one likes change, but we'll probably get used to them later, I mean we did with Omid and Christa for God's Sake! Speaking of which this next part might have excessive swearing so.... MOTHER FUCKING BLACK GHETTO BITCH!!!!! YOU'RE FUCKING DEAD YOU HEAR ME?!?! DEAD!!!! MY FAVORITE CHARACTER, MY FAVORITE CHARACTER, YOU GOT GOT HIM FUCKING KILLED!!!!! machine-gun. CHRISTA MIGHT AS WELL HAVE TORTURED YOU UNTIL ALL OF YOUR LIMBS CHOPPED OFF YOU UNGRATEFUL BITCH!! THIS IS WHY YOU NEVER TRUST PEOPLE THAT ACT LIKE THEIR FROM THE GHETTO!!!!!! FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUUUUUUCCCCCCI'm literally HitlerK!!!!! Ok....I'm good now. Point is though, I knew his death was coming, but not so quickly. Once he walked into that bathroom, his fate was sealed. Why couldn't Clem have the option to get him to leave or something? Well, at least Christa may still be alive, so yeah. And we've still kinda got a part of him (And Lee determinant) with Clem finding her backpack with the gun that was used to kill him. Well, Rest in Peace man, hope you're finally having that cripple fight with Lee you've always wanted.... sad-bye-emoticon ..... ......

of course, I will not be surprised by any deaths, I will be sad if Rebecca's baby dies immediately after born or Sarah or Luke dies. Not surprised, just a bit sad.
In honesty, I'll be Surprised if They actually survive

For me this episode was better than I expected. I know, I expected it to be really bad, but it was good. Not great, but good.
The only thing that really pissed me off was killing Omid so quickly. WTF, Telltale?! Five minutes later Christa possibly dies. I don't think we'll see her again. Time skip was a little too big, but that's understandable. They needed Clem to be older to handle herself better.
Characters aren't as great as in season 1, but they're still OK. I really like Pete and Luke was okay too. Nike might be an interesting character later. Rebecca is a bitch, I hate her. Carlos is okay, I think he will play a large role in the future. Alvin looks like a cool guy, but we don't know much about him.
I'm dissapointed Telltale really made a guy who looks exactly like Kenny to troll us, but I expected that. It's stupid, though.
In season 1, episode one was the weakest for majority of players, so I'm waiting for episode 2 to see how will it play out. If I had to rate the episode, it would be 8/10.

The only thing I liked about this was Clementine being alive. That's the only word that sums it up as she is not 'ok' she's anything but 'ok' so I couldn't find the right word from my vocabulary to describe that.
Also I did like how Clementine uses words Lee used. For example 'Don't worry, we're smart, he isn't, we're smarter than all than them' she said that to Sam and that was what Lee said too her in episode 5, jewellery store.

Yeah, well look at Ep. 1 of S1, Not much in the emotional department, we only had bonds with Clem, Kenny, and Carley/Doug, and we didn't trust Lilly and Larry, and everyone was annoyed by Duck. IMO, it was better than Ep. 1 of S1, but only because of the fact that this episode actually had some emotion to it. To be honest, the only sad scene was Lee killing his brother.

Oh yeah, I forgot to say something else.
5. The reason why season 1 is good is because while it did have some dark scenes, it also had comical and heartwarming scenes. But All That Remains was just pure sadness and tragedy. There has to be a balance between light and darkness but this episode was just dark. If the next episodes are going to be like this, I might even consider season 2 uncanon and make up my own ending for the scene after credits from No Time Left and pretend that season 2 doesn't exist and that they are never going to make seasons.
Again, sorry if I sounded like a jerk.

Am I the only one here that actually enjoyed the episode and give it a 9/10? The only let down I was faced with was the 16 months time jump. Other than that, it was shocking and worth it experience. I have to agree that Telltale are going to deep and to dark though.
But don't mope guys, Telltale is taking feedback for the upcoming episodes, and you should let them know what you think. They won't look here...

Yeah but if we post this in the TTG forum, we will get downvoted and people will call us pussies and trolls because they think that they are the tough guys who know their way around the zombie apocalypse.
