ALAS.
Figured it was a long shot (I don't read the comics or anything), but I love seeing humanity adjust to apocalyptic scenarios. Probably my favorite thing about The Last of Us, in fact.
Other than that, though, I have no idea what they'd do with season 3 unless they start with a completely new protagonist or backtrack a little and maybe have one of the cabin group members as the focus before they got to Carver's or something. There's a lot they could do with that, actually.
Either way, I just hope we don't have to play as Luke.

My ideal for season three that isn't insanely unrealistic.
Jump two more years. Still playing as Clementine. You start off in Wellington, and Luke is there as well. The two of them have developed a deep brother sister relationship (no, not like they have in game of thrones you twisted fucks). There is a good couple in the camp that took the baby, but you and Luke get to see it a lot.
Kenny died in the shootout, and Bonnie and Mike sadly got killed somewhere else in the finale. (I don't see Bonnie, Mike, Clem, Luke and the baby all making it. Would be nice, but not very realistic).
Most of the game takes place around Wellington, only this time, during the summer.
General plot of First episode: Hearth and Home (deliberately sounding warm and fuzzy to fool the player)
*Starts off with Clementine waking up in a location that (to the player), is completely unfamiliar. Clementine leaves the room, and it becomes obvious that this is her home in Wellington. Yes, she has her own house (or maybe apartment) Why not? She's more than capable of dealing with that. You start off a normal day. Go to the mess hall (cafeteria, whatever) have some breakfast. Get to meet some of the season three cast, and find out that Luke is still alive (if that was made ambiguous in any way). Hopefully the season thee version of the engine will be able to handle a lot more player models than the season two engine.
Clem has watch duty for the day. She'd be about 13 at this point, so her handling a .22 rifle is far from impossible. You guard the gate, probably with two other adults (one of them could be Christa), who will also be major cast members. Of course, things don't go according to plan, and some unexpected guests show up,leading to.....
I got nothing. Something would happen.
In general, a lot of the season should revolve around the politics of Wellington, which would be a fairly democratic/republican place. Their is one leader who gets elected annually, but the guy (or gal... yeah make it a woman) who wound up keeping everyone alive the first few months is commonly regarded as boss.
There are a lot of interesting scenarios for this. I'd love a season three set almost entirely in Wellington.

That involves Wellington being an actual place, so I support it.

That involves Wellington being an actual place, so I support it. Yeah. But sadly, my guess is that it never existed at all. I WANT it to exist, but I don't know. The season three announcement give me hope for the next episode though. Still, this is the walking dead. Nobody is safe.

An actual decent one where people are just trying to get by, not like Carver and his Dictatorship at Howe's.

Let's just say fuck it and put a donkey boy in season 3. Gotta get a member of every color, creed, religion, sexuality, dick size, toenail shape, butthole angle, etc.
Why does everyone wanna hate on the straight, white male? We didn't do anything wrong. We can't help it if we're the best.

"That's nice, I guess..."-Sarah
Honestly, I'm not all that interested in season 3, especially if it features another timeskip. It'd be nice if S3 moved towards another group or even having Clem as a central character, but not as the PC. It's a shame, really. I remembered how ecstatic I was about season two after it was announced following S1E2.
Now TWAU S2...when.

Unfortunately, I don't think Telltale can do a long enough time skip where playing as Rebecca's son would be a viable option. I heard that the comic had another time skip, but that it was only 2 years or so, and Telltale can't go further than the comics. The comics are about 9-10 years into the apocalypse. It's possible we could play as him, but unlikely.
