I just found the exact quote, and he pretty much says TWD is flawed because it has game over states"I’ve always felt that ‘game over’ is a state of failure more for the game designer than from the player. It’s like creating an artificial loop saying, ‘You didn’t play the game the way I wanted you to play, so now you’re punished and you’re going to come back and play it again until you do what I want you to do.’ In an action game, I can get that – why not? It’s all about skills. But in a story-driven experience it doesn’t make any sense."

Oh yeah, and FUCK David Cage, people sometimes call Ken Levine pretensions, well the they are wrong on that, this guy? Jesus, he thinks emotion comes out of graphics not storytelling or characters, which means by definition he hates TWD. I think i remember hearing him say something along the lines of "any game that has a game over has made a mistake" i don't know the exact quote, but going by that almost every game ever is shit and only his games are good. Yeah, Two Best Friends made meme out of that, he said it, really, and its entirely hypocritcal, his first game had TONS of game overs, and again I liked the idea for Heavy Rain, but it only works with several characters, Beyond Two Souls is not how you do it, and by the way, I swear he is not good at writing female characters, they will instantly fall in love at such a rate it makes Disney look like a extremely long romance novel, its madness, and why is it he always has a shower scene for no reason other then, hey, female character naked?

Well it wasn't directed specifically at TWD, just story games in general, but yeah fuck him(all though i did enjoy Heavy Rain and Fahrenheit/Indigo Prophecy i've jut lost all respect for the guy)

Because maybe they will spot plot holes maybe!

Eh,I'm iffy on this whole thing.I liked tlou,I just think Ashley Johnson or whatever her name was would have been a better Ellie.no offence, but I looked at the actress who might play Ellie, and she looks ugly to my taste(opinions.remember that).as for beyond two souls,it was okay I guess. The homeless people were the best choice really. And its odd that it has no game overs.how does this game have no game overs!?eh,still unique in its way I guess...kinda...

There is probably a good reason VG movies always fail, its maybe because we can't envision someone playing a character we love, I mean can you see someone playing Clem that isn't Melissa Hutchinson? I can't, and that is a problem that just can't be fixed.

I enjoyed watching Jesse Cox's playthrough of Beyond: Two Souls, and honestly, the acting was good. Story? Not so much.
Another thing he's a hypocrite about, he said that he never wants to make a sequel for any of his games(or something like that), yet Beyond has possibly the biggest sequel hook EVER.
And the no game over thing is stupid. Though, I'll admit that at the "emo" part, it was pretty interesting how failing just gave you a different outcome, which had at least some minor affect on the story, rather than starting you over. But at the same time... that entire part was stupid because it was like, "suddenly Jodie is emo. Why? Because I said so." It doesn't make any sense. :/
And also, that's really the only time it worked. Other times, when you are fighting guys with machetes, failing should kill you. They did not have the skill to accomplish the QTE, so you have the player start over, and try to be faster, not change the story so some random event makes it so that machete guy doesn't kill them, or he only gives them a dozen minor wounds each time they fail rather than even TRY to do some serious damage.

Also, in other news, Assassin's Creed, Watch Dogs, and Far Cry movies are all in development. Along with... The rabbit thing form Ubisoft, but no one cares about that.

I'm aware, I guess that is a problem with story driven games like TWD, Bioshock, TLOU, but yeah if that wasn't enough of a problem, motherfucking Uew Boll had to fuck VG movies into hell, god, he is probably the worst German since Hitler, I mean how does one make so many bad movies and keep getting work?

According to Bio, apparently making bad movies = attempted genocide. Good to know you've got a handle on your priorities, amigo.

I am being sarcastic, but seriously, riddle me this one batman, how does he keep getting work after not making one good movie, and making some of the worst movies period, how?

It's just that comparing someone to Hitler, when all they've done is make crappy movies, seems a bit... oh, I dunno, drastic? I don't know or care how he keeps getting work, but Hitler? Seriously?
