My thoughts on what the "Ark" could be. In Entry #86 Alex and Tim talk about how The Operator's influence is spread through "Sources", a.k.a, Tim, who was the only one dealing with The Operator since before the filming on Marble hornets, possibly since birth. Alex reveals the reason that he killed Jay(and was trying to kill Tim) was because if all the sources died(including himself afterwards), then it would stop. Alex though that if they all died, then The Operator would die with them, but Tim said that it was possible that there a hundreds of sources who don't even know that they're spreading his influence and "infecting" other people, so killing him would solve nothing.
Generally, an Ark is some form of transportation, if what Alex said in... I forget which entry exactly, one of the early Season Two ones, but basically it was Alex telling Jay the history of Rosswood Forest, how they used to string up criminals on trees, but stopped when a dismembered child showed up. This could be a clue about The Operator's origins(I believe one of the totheark videos had secret message in it saying "Look to the Origins", so it could be important). If it is, then that means The Operator has been around for nearly 200 years, and not making much progress in spreading his influence among the Sources, considering most people are locked up when having "hallucinations" about a freakishly tall man with no face following them, or they get help like Tim did.
Considering this, I think it's possible that the Ark is something The Operator could use to spread his influence much more quickly than he has been the past 200 years, this brings up a few questions though.
Why would totheark want it? Along with "The Third", Masky and Hoody were part of totheark, and they seemed to be against The Operator, so potentially they wanted to find it to destroy it.
However, it seems that whenever they talk about how to find the Ark, they talk about Jay. In Entry ##### the last part of Masky's(?) rant is, "And you will lead us... to the ark." This was directed towards Jay. As well as "Decay", which seemed to be directed towards Alex, there was the message, "He will lead me to you. Lead me to death. Lead me to the ark." This could also have been talking about Jay, as Jay was looking for Alex, following him would have been how they found Alex as well.
In the most recent video, there is simply the message, "Ark awaits". Jay is dead at this point, so if Jay was the one they thought would lead them to the ark, it would make sense they are no longer giving messages of "lead me", and instead just said, "awaits".
So the big question is... why did they think Jay would lead them to the Ark? One theory is that Jay WAS the Ark, but that has little evidence. Jay had been "infected" before he died, so if he was the ark, wouldn't the Operator have won? Also, totheark never referred to Jay directly as the Ark. As well as the note telling Jay to find the Ark, but like Tim had said, Hoody could have left that message simply to try and kill Jay, but that doesn't make much sense either if he was going to lead them to the ark.
Meaning the Ark would still be in Benedict Hall.
I don't think going into it much further is going to help. In the end, it's pretty possible that the Ark is something The Operator would need to spread his influence, and also possible that it's still at Benedict Hall, meaning totheark followed Jay to it as he was searching for Alex.
Either Tim found the Ark, or something important with it happened in the period of time between Entry #86 and #87, or the next video won't be Entry #88, it will be another totheark video form "The Third", and Entry #88 will be Tim responding to it.
Or we've been left with a massive fucking cliff hanger(which seems likely).

It was a good ending in it's own right, but there are so many things unanswered, or even addressed in any way, that it's just ridiculous, even for Marble Hornets. But at the same time, it wasn't exactly a bad ending. My only hope is that their next series is connected in some way... Maybe... Hopefully...

They've hinted that their next series(with a budget of $70,000 as opposed to MH's $15,000) may have something to do with the Marble Hornets movie. Plus, there's a movie coming out in a few months, and that is probably going to be pretty awesome.

Uh... So... Perhaps before I get all angry over it being the end, I should have listened to the announcement because they confirmed that their next series IS a continuation of Marble Hornets... So It's not really like anything changed...

Oh, I was mistaken again, it's not their next series, but they do keep saying, "Don't unsubscribe from the MarbleHornets channel, there's more stuff coming!"
Hmm... I'll withhold judgement until I see this, "new stuff".
"You'll see! You'll see!"
We'd better...

So... It's been about two months since the series ended, and along with the box set(which I'm definitely going to buy), they did promise more stuff on the Marble Hornets channel in "a couple of months" when they announced it was over.
I'm still waiting... Very patiently...
As more the movie, I'm guessing it's going to be out around Halloween time. Funnily enough, not a single character from Marble Hornets(Tim, Jay, Alex, Jessica) is listed in the cast.
The only characters(aside form the Operator) are:
Lee Dylan Karaoke Girl Kyle Dennis Baru Everett Nikki
So... This an entirely new story? That could be cool.
Also, Joseph DeLage and Troy Wagner are writing it, along with Ian Shorr(no idea), so, that gives me hope that it will be good if the original creators are actually involved.
