Old Snake from Metal Gear Solid 4. For me it captures the essence of the emotion of the whole game.

Evidently, the Apple TV Version of Transistor has a new song:
I must find a way to get this song on my iPod. This may be new favorite song on the soundtrack.

Evidently steam has a steam music thing now? Huh. Anyway, this means I'll probably be listening to the Kentucky Route Zero Soundtrack a lot.

Bringing this thread back because my recent Wolfenstein binge has left a few memorable tracks branded into my mind.
This one, 14 Years, that plays after completing the prologue. Wonderful piece to show the world changing around your character while he's indisposed and set up the story for the rest of the game.
And this one. Muuuch later in the game, when the shit hits the fan. Starting out slow, the gradual build in intensity gets to you until that that inevitable explosion of pure, unadulterated, musical ecstasy launches you into a Nazi killing rage when things look to be at their worst. It's empowering. Running through a burning building, dual-wielding assault rifles while mowing down Nazi special forces with this sick track at your back makes you feel like a furious, invincible God.

After playing Bayonetta 1 and 2 I can easily say that their soundtracks are some of the best in game history.
