That's not entirely right, there's only been 2 heroes confirmed, but they're both on empire's side so it's unlikely as hell that that's all of them, and they said that there was more than 8 maps, so I'd take this with a pinch of salt. I know that not everything has been announced yet, but regardless, we are going to get less content then BF2 by a significant margin. Yeah, shows how ahead of its time BF2 was, and how incompetent Dice and EA are.

Perhaps, but like i said, DICE has never made a Battlefront game before, they have no idea how, so they have to learn how, they need a base to work with, they need the core gameplay first before they can do all those things. Like i said previously, its the same thing with 343 industries, they had to learn how to make a Halo game, Halo 4 was them learning how, Halo 5 Guardians is their true judgement day, the only difference here is DICE has alot more to lose and Judgement day is coming earlyer. We need to wait until E3, we should see this game in action first, its the gameplay and if its fun that matters, they have to get that right, the rest can wait.

But Instant Action and Galactic Conquest where what made BF2 so amazing, you take that out and add loadouts instead of classes it's not Battlefront anymore.

If anything, this game makes the previous games look better.

But what is Galatic Conquest? its a gamemode where you conquer planets and such, and whats this all based on? a single gametype where you go to maps and capture command posts yes there are other details and such, and how Galatic Conquest affects it. They have to nail the gameplay first, if they try and do it all at once the game would have been doomed from the start, plus consider this isnt a sequal to BF2, this is a reboot. Things like space battles, galatic conquest, these are things we will see in the game after this, but first and more imporantly, it has to feel like a battlefront game. It does suck we wont get those at first, but for the sake of doing it right and making the game play right, its a acceptable loss.

I've still got some hope for the gameplay being good, but they've changed and excluded so much it's hard to be optimistic about it.

I know, E3 is when we will finally see this game in action, that is when we will know more, if DICE can nail the gameplay, then all will be well and those excluded features will return, the only question is if they can pull it off, which is a absolute must.

Another thing I'm afraid of is endless DLC, and some kind of variant of battle packs, but it is EA we're talking about here, so they're kind of a given.

As long as it doesnt break the game and the packs aren't a absolute must to get i think it will be fine. besides, the first DLC pack is gonna be free, so thats a plus.

Well people have been calling the new one Battlefront: EA, but that's fucking stupid because the first two were published by EA too. So yeah, I'd say go with BF3 for simplicity.

Nah, if anyone just calls it Battlefront I'll instantly think of the original one, calling it BF3 is just easier. Well, in that case at the very least the mindset of it being a sequal, because with that mindset you expect it to have everything the last game had, and more, but with the mindset of it being a reboot, which it is, you dont expect so much out of it. Either way, im curious to see how it plays and more importantly, if it looks like a battlefront game.
