Both sides are actually just seeking to do what they think is best, which for the Imperials is what's best for the Empire, and for Ulfric it's what's best for Skyrim. I think Ulfric and his rebels are just making the whole situation worse, though, as they're weakening the Empire and playing right into the Thalmor's hands.

True, but banning a god just because you don't think he is real is bullshit, and these people have a point, but the Empire is trying to make sure everything does not fall apart, so I get that also, they really made both sides seem flawed but not evil, good work.

The Empire didn't outlaw the worship of Talos, that was the Thalmor. Talos created the Empire, so it would be kind of hard for them to do that themselves. In fact, several of the imperial soldiers still worship Talos, including Hadvar (he shouts "By the Nine!" when retrieving the Jagged Crown) and even Legate Rikke (who offers a quiet "Talos Guide You" to Ulfric after his death). And General Tullius, who isn't even a Nord, simply turns a blind eye to the worship of Talos in the ranks.
Still, both sides do have their points, so kudos to Bethesda for making both options compelling.

Yeah, they all think this religion banning is bullshit, also I found it funny during the siege of Whiterun, the only house to get blown up by the Stormclocks, was the house owned by the Talos priest?

He deserved it. That guy is annoying. He's probably the one responsible for the banning of Talos worship. Some milk drinking High Elf probably heard one of his sermons and said "Hey, this guys needs to shut the fuck up. Let's take away his Talos so he has nothing to preach about." I can't say I blame them if that's the case.

Who knows, but the irony is stunning, "Hey we like Talos, so we are going to liberate Whiterun! Oh shit, the only house we destroyed was owned by the guy that sympathizes with us."

Oh, how many months have I spent playing Skyrim? I was addicted to it for a long time. I don't have a favourite class. Usually in RPGs, I like warriors the most, but here I slightly prefer mage and archer thief. I don't know which one of those two I like better. I'm usually playing as an Argonian, sometimes as Nord, Khajit or Orc. I can't stand high elves.
Also, I prefer Stormcloaks, too.

I usually play any elder scrolls game as a Breton mage but when I complete it for the second time I'm always a stealthy khajiit archer. I support the empire.
