I've been playing Skyrim recently, and I thought "what the hell, I might as well make a thread for this." So, if anyone wants to discuss anything Elder Scrolls related, this is the place. It doesn't have to be specifically Skyrim, though that may be what I chat about for the most part.
So, am I the only one who's still playing Skyrim off and on? I generally tend to roll with a Warrior type who does a one handed weapon with a shield. I find it gives me a tolerable offense, while at the same time allowing me to protect myself from those ghastly Frostbite Spiders (which is something I can never forgive Bethesda for). What about you guys? Any particular race/class you gravitate toward in Skyrim or any of the other games in the series? Is it different for each game?

I was playing this for the entire month of April, just to get over Bioshock ending, and I must say, it works wonders when getting over something.

Thank you for completely disregarding the question I asked about Class and Race preferences.

Oh, I almost always do Nord, and its either bow or two handed, the last playthrough was single handed ax and shield.

I've been playing Skyrim for about three months every day. Level 125, and I'm going to play Skyrim till I have my fix of it.
Then I'll think about buying Elder Scrolls Online. Not for a while though.

I tend to mostly play Imperial when I'm in Skyrim. which is kind of funny, as in Oblivion I almost always played as a Nord. With very few exceptions, I always play Warrior, mostly one handed. Sometimes I go two handed. On rare occasions, I do Mage. I can't stand playing a thief though.

I can't stand mages, I did a thief a few times, the second last playthrough I did a Imperial thief that used bows alot and was a vampire, also was female, just take a wild guess what the name was?

Rebecca.
Anyways, Mages are alright. Being able to blow your enemies apart with the power of the elements is always fun. My friend Danny even once made a mage character who specialized in lightning, wore a black robe and hood, was old and wrinkled, and joined the Imperial Legion so he could electrocute the Stormcloak Rebels. I'll give you one guess as to what that character's name was.

It was Lilly, but close enough, and I see mages can be amazing, I just prefer blade over ice magic, and let me guess, Emperor Palpatine?

I knew it was Lilly, I was just being dumb. I prefer werewolves, anyways.
Also, yes, it was Palpatine. Danny and I both prefer the Imperials over the Stormcloaks, which was what inspired him to make the character in the first place. Well, after Star Wars that is.

I should totally make a Skyrim playthrough as one of my favorite Sith Lords, and for some reason I prefer the Stormclocks, though both sides have there faults.

You're a Stormcloak? And I used to like you.
In seriousness, while Ulfric knows how to make a speech, I feel that Skyrim's best hope of salvation from the Thalmor lies in fighting with a united Empire.

His speeches are good, but neither side is really flawless, I mean for the love of god if the Empire takes over Riften, then put mother fucking Maven Black Brire in charge, who has ties to the Thieves Guild, the Dark Brotherhood, and the skooma trade.

And if the Stormcloaks take Markarth, they make Thongvor Silver-Blood the Jarl, who controls the reach by owning the Silver-Mines and using slave labor. I can deal with Maven because both the Dark Brotherhood and Thieves Guild are shadows of what they once were, and becayse it means Skyrim stays with the Empire, giving Man a better chance to defeat Mer in the upcoming second War against the Dominion.

Yeah, they all have cons, but hey, at least that Faulkreath asshole gets kicked out in favor of his dad right? Honestly both sides are kind of assholes.
