Correct me if I'm wrong, but Bio knows way too much about this movie. Well you are correct, I am not even going to try to side step that, it's true, I know more then I should, but I don't care, but if you think I know a lot about Frozen, don't get me started on Beauty and the Beast, you'll be here for hours. Is it me, or am I the only one that wants a Frozen level in Kingdom Hearts 3 now?

Well I might as well put this here, my top five favorite Disney movies are as followed, Beauty and the Beast, Frozen, Aladdin, Lion King, and Hunchback of Notre Dame, my five favorite songs are Beauty and the Beast, Belle, Let it Go, Be our Guest, and Circle of Life, my favorite quote "Disney Princess" is Belle followed by a tie between Anna and Elsa, my favorite villain is Maleficent, Frollo, and Gaston, and I am not ashamed in the slightest to tell you all that. Also I am now working on my actually opinion of Frozen, which might take a while.

I haven't watched this movie yet and know almost nothing about it. Really? Huh, well let me put it to you this way, it revived my interest in Disney movie's and animated movies in general, and somehow got my whole family to sit down and watch a Disney movie for the first time in forever, which was 12 years, take that for what you will, I think's fantastic, just behind Beauty and the Beast, but that's just my opinion. It's always on Stars just so you know.

Okay, after sometime here is my actual review of Frozen, my opinion is obvious already, I liked it a lot, but let me give some details as to why.
Well for starters it looks great, I know that is a rather obvious statement but it is. All the ice and snow really looks great, and I know they put a lot of work into those effects, and it shows. Also it doesn't feel like a winter version of Tangled, I know it's the same sort of art style, which was inspired my the The Swing painting, but they are very different in there feel and look, to me anyway.
The music is really great, I know everyone talks about Let It Go and to an extant Do you want to Build a Snowman, and rightfully so, but the others were great to. I really, really love First Time In Forever, I think it's a mixture of me connecting with the lyrics, the fact I like the beat of it, and for no other reason, the name is ironic seeing how this really was the first time in forever that I saw one of these movies. The intro song I thought was actually a great starter, it sets the tone well and feels very authentic, it feels like something out of Skyrim, which is coincidence seeing how Skyrim was heavily Norwegian inspired. The rest are still good though, there is not a weak link at all, hell the only one I dare say is just okay is the cover version of Let It Go, and it's not bad, just okay. The orchestral soundtrack is also very good, it matches the scenes while also feeling very Norwegian.
Which I got to touch on, it really nails the feel of Norway, just like how Beauty and the Beast feels like France, they really got the culture down well. Everything from the music and look, to the outfit designs, it matches the culture.
Okay so I like the look and the music, what else? Well there is the characters, I enjoyed them quite a bit obviously. Now it's no secret my favorite Disney heroine was Belle, but if I had to pick a second favorite, it would be both Anna and Elsa. They are different from a lot of the other Disney leads, mostly anyway. People seem to compare Rapunzel and Anna quite often, and yeah they are similar to an extent, but I do feel they are there own person, and not just a carbon copy in a different dress. Both sisters are very different yet similar, they are both free and independent but that not why I like them. I guess it's because I connected well with them, I for one absolutely hate being alone, can't stand it, so I get Anna's plight in that sense. I can be a naive and hell even nervous when talking to new people, so I get that a lot. Elsa, well, all the reasons everyone like her pretty much applies here, so really I don't need to go into a lot of detail.
The side characters I enjoyed to, yes I liked Olaf the Snowman, deal with it, he is up there with the horse from Tangled and the servants from Beauty and the Beast. Funny thing is, I expected him to be awful, like Gargoyles from Hunchback level of awful, but I was pleasantly surprised. The reindeer Sven was also cool, even if he was somewhat like the horse Tangled, and his owner, well, I enjoyed him to, can't remember the last time there was a Disney character that was very lonesome and preferred not much social interaction.
The villain, well, I know a lot people are mixed and I get why, but I for one think he was good, like roughly top 11 good. I mean was he the greatest villain Disney has ever done? No, he is not Gaston, or Frollo, I mean hell if I was forced to nitpick one aspect, it would probably be him because while I do like him, he is not a fantastic antagonist. Also for the record, while it feels like a complete 180 with no foreshadowing, watch it again, but this time really listen to the lyrics in Love is an Open Door, and pay close attention to the storming the ice castle scene, there are foreshadowing moments, maybe not a lot, but they are there. But I don't think that was what they were going for, and the fact they tried something completely different is nice.
Speaking of, if you ever wonder why these movie did so well, I can answer that question fairly easily. It is a Disney fairy tale with a princess in it, it is the standard formula that has worked many times, but there are several spins on it. For once the queen is not evil, yes I know the queens in Tangled and Brave were not either, but she actually played a huge role in the movie, that was somewhat new.
The big differences were the life messages, and these i'm sure can be interpreted in a variety of different ways, this is just how I see it. There are two life lessons, one, true love does not always have to be romantic love, and two, three day romances are ridiculous. Those are rather unique, can't remember the last animated movie that got both of those points across, the second one especially seeing how that was the cornerstone of the majority of there princess movies. I like that, and this kind of makes the villain a bit better, the fact it reinforces the point without beating you over the head with it! Which speaking off, that was another change to the formula, the fact that the prince was an asshole, stuff like that is why people love this movie and why it did so well.
So yeah this probably is rambling at this point, but what can I say? I enjoyed this movie quite a lot, and to me is the Beauty and the Beast of this generation, which I don't say lightly, seeing how that is my absolute favorite Disney movie. Is Frozen perfect? No, but nothing ever is. I for one loved it to death, have seen it several times, and I am as sure as the sun will rise that I will see it again.

Okay I am a bit late for this news by like 11 days, but I might as well mention this, they are making a five minute Frozen short, with the same director, screen writer, music makers, and voice talents, all of them, and it's coming out in Spring, which is a dead giveaway that it's going to be tied to there live action version of Cinderella, and for the record they did the same thing with Tangled, having a five minute short play right before the release of Beauty and the Beast, I would be lying if I am not excited actually.

Oh and I forgot to mention, in the credits of Frozen, in the main animation section, there was a "Doug Walker." That is the real name of the Nostalgia Critic, I just found that funny, that is all.

I know, well there is a 40 minute review he made of Frozen on his website, he actually really likes the movie, and even states he actually does like Let It Go, it's his character that absolutely hates Let It Go, but yeah, still ironic.

Though, too bad that there wasn't an epic villain song in this movie just like in every Disney movie like Be Prepared, Hellfire, Poor Unfortnate Souls, Friends On The Other Side etc.
But, I did hear that the original plan was to have Elsa being the main villain instead of Prince Hans. If Elsa would of been the villain, then Let It Go would be a villain song and maybe an epic one aswell considering that the villains always have the awesome songs.

Yeah I do love the villain songs, I mean Hellfire, good god, but I don't think it needed one, I mean not every movie has to be alike, I mean hell one of my other favorite villain songs is Gaston from Beauty and the Beast, and that one is very different from the rest seeing how it's not about how the person is evil, but rather just egotistical, I don't know, I feel like it didn't need it, also you are right, Elsa was originally going to be the villain, but when they got to Let It Go, they concluded that it was way to happy and upbeat for a villain song, and was a major reason why they changed her from villain to misunderstood, just wanted to throw that out.
