I don't get how this wasn't originally a Kenny/Carley hate thread, lol. I don't dislike Nick but my opinion on him stands.
About the dinner scene. No doubt Kenny's jokes missed the mark, but I think Nick was pretty rude there too. He starts raining on Kenny's parade about Wellington for no real reason, and then shouts "Hey, FUCK you!" at him.

And here we go. Kenny is selfish, sure, but in Episode 5 he decided to do the right thing, the heroic thing, even though it was probably going to get him killed. Just like he did in Episode 1 in the pharmacy where he saves Lee even if Lee decides to go out of his way to be an asshole to him and his family. I think he was pretty bad in the middle of Season 1, but my opinion is that he redeemed himself with his actions in No Time Left. Everything here is an opinion, not a fact, and we all see Kenny in different ways.

He shouted "Hey, fuck you, buddy," after Ken started getting pissy and dickish. This isn't a Kenny hate thread, because its purpose is not to hate on Kenny. It's purpose is to discuss Kenny.

I told him to go fuck himself after he told me I wasn't always there for Duck.

But their purpose is to express hatred or love. You could call that sort of discussion off topic. If the purpose were not to hate or love, then they wouldn't be called hate or appreciation threads, respectively. Do you remember the first hate and appreciation threads? The first hate thread was a hate thread made for Clem so that "Campy won't be in the appreciation thread anymore." All a hate thread has to be is a discussion revolving around the concept of hatred towards a character. It doesn't mean that every post in there or even the majority of posts in there have to agree that said character should be hated. It's like if I made a thread called "Clem Will Die in Episode 4," the majority of the posts won't be agreeing with me but that still doesn't change the fact that the thread is discussing the possibility of Clem dying in Episode 4. Dome. Change it back.

No. That is not what it was made around. That is not the reason they exist. They exist because Campy was fucking around and talking about how much he hates Clem in the Clem appreciation thread, and then somebody made a hatred thread just for Campy. BECAUSE THEY WERE TIRED OF HIM DISCUSSING WHY HE MIGHT HATE CLEM. Keeping Campy's comments contained may have been the original purpose of hate threads, but that's not the function they're serving now. Right now they're being used to discuss the reasons why a character should or should not be hated. Which is what this thread is being used for. I'm not moving it back, Harp. He's no anti-hero. An anti-hero is somebody who uses morally questionable tactics to do good things. He's just a person. A bad person. No an anti-hero is just a protagonist who doesn't possess heroic qualities but who ultimately does something good or admirable at the end. Or something like that.

He doesn't regret saving Christa, and that is, arguably, the more heroic thing. And he may have saved everyone's lifes in the meat locker by doing the "bad" thing. I think that makes him an anti-hero. And is it really that important in which section this thread is? Edit: Really, Harp?

Dildor, don't you push me. MP, that is an unused section, and this thread will never be seen if it is there. And Rock, why is this forum so biased :C I guess we just view the character in different ways. I can only speak for myself when I say this, but I view Kenny as a flawed anti-hero who, even though he became a bad person after the events of the St. John Dairy, redeemed himself (in my eyes) with his actions in Episode 5. You, obviously, feel very different about him. I'd just chalk this up to different strokes for different folks, because there's really very little that can prove anyone's opinion, no matter what it may be, definitively right or wrong here.
And I apologize if you misunderstood me when I said you probably were the only one here who hated Kenny. I meant that literally, not in any "This is Kenny's forum so like his mustache or GTFO" kind of way. I know that Dome isn't too crazy about him either, but for the most part I think the majority of us are Kenny supporters (to varying degrees, of course). I have no idea why that is, only that it is how it is around here. Other users are free to prove me wrong, of course.
I agree with this statement, he is heavily flawed, and is not a hero, but he is likable for some reason, really even I can't figure out why, I might be one of his biggest supporters, but I would never refer to him as perfect, not in a million years.

I'll be honest, I almost was willing to maybe warm up to him after the peaches and beans joke. Then he starts yelling at them. Yeah, I thought that maybe this won't turn into a fight I expected, but Kenny had to start a fight for no reason. I guess that's why I like him. He's not perfect, just a flawed and not the nicest man. I just like the anti-heroes. But he hasn't really developed between the seasons, that's dissapointing. Oh and a side note, I am the same way, I just like anti hero's, hell one of my favorite protagonists of all time is Booker DeWitt, and he is not a hero by any stretch of the imagination.
