Yeah, but people though similar stuff about Telltale handling The Walking Dead... I also didn't mean to imply there would be NO combat whatsoever, sorry if it came across that way. I just meant that combat wouldn't be the focus. I imagine they'll have QTEs and the like. The big thing is that combat wouldn't NEED to be the selling-point of the game, since there would actually be things to care about more than just blowing things up. They'll manage a good balance. Hopefully. I never understood why everyone says no one expected TWD to be good, I have seen a lot of zombie games, and yet none tried what TWD did, so it sounded unique, and was accurate to what the series does, I had no trouble thinking it was going to be good, this one though, I don't know if hardcore fans are going to care about a good story in Borderlands. I certainly never expected TWD to be good. I never even entertained thoughts of buying it until about a week before Episode 1 released, and even then I went in with a great deal of hesitation and suspicion. I was more than pleasantly surprised by TWD, so who's to say that the same can't happen with TftB?

I will if it gets good reviews, I do like Borderlands, sure its dumb fun, but it is a lot of fun, if it goes on sale and it gets good reviews then I might try it out.

I do admit that I had very low expectations, I thought it was going to be not great, but I was wrong, and in reality I should have seen it coming, this, well again I might be wrong, but I don't see it, but I do like being wrong sometimes.

You didn't see TWD's success coming, so who's to say that TftB won't end up being the same? I'm not saying that you need to buy TftB on day one, but keep an eye on it and keep an open mind. That's what I'll be doing.

That's what I'll be doing. Yeah, I'll probably see the first ten minutes of Episode 1, then buy it on Steam if it's good.

I'm going to do the opposite of that and ignore this game completely and pretend it doesn't exist

It could be good, but I am not optimistic.

Well you do have other things to think about.

Good question, because hardcore Borderlands fans don't want to play a Borderlands game with next to no shooting and looting, they want to jump around with insane weapons, kill badass enemy's, and get better guns to continue the cycle, I get that, I like it, a good story is really just a cherry on top of the blood sundae, so taking out the FPS part is going to piss off hardcore Borderlands games, and Telltale fans won't be hyped for it because they have either never heard of it, or have heard of it but don't really care for it because the story was never the high point, so who is this for?

That has been my whole point, it could be great, but I am just wondering why, when you could have picked other better candidates from the gaming and TV show world, I mean if it had been Breaking Bad I would be shouting from mountain tops that Telltale was the best!

Yeah I do agree, I don't think its hurting there projects, but if it is, don't do it, I am really excited for there Game of Thrones game, but not so much this, still could be good though.

So I'm guessing the game releases this Fall?
I'll buy the first episode and try it out, if it's any good... I'll buy the season pass. But, I might regret it.
Since we have screenshots it's closer to release than GoT is.

Which is a bit sad, but yeah, Fall is likely, all of Telltale game's will be finished by September, with TWD being last.
