I like both Borderlands and i really want this to work but i can see it sucking as much as i can see it working so waiting for some reviews is probably a good idea with this.

I played some of Borderlands 1 and never got into it, i have never played BL2 so i doubt i would get any references in the game. I think i will wait for the game to be released before i decide whether to buy it or not. Out of the two new franchises GOT seems more interesting to me. I have to agree.

So I take it that TWD and TWAU are gonna come out even later thanks to this series?

They're releasing screenshots, and that's worrying me. Looks like the first episode will be out soon, so 'In Sheep's Clothing' may be delayed until July, and 'Amid The Ruins' might get delayed until August.

I'd say they're going to release it around the time of Borderlands The Pre Sequel which is out sometime October-November so i think(hope) you're worrying to much.

I just can't see this working, either the FPS parts suck, or there are none, and both kind of kill it.

I didn't care for Borderlands, but I'm willing to give this a shot. One of the big detractors for me was that there was no reason for me to care about anything in Borderlands - the story took a back seat and it was mostly just running around finding loot (which was always some gun/combat related thing) so I could run around some more and shoot guys in the face. I don't mind that, so much, but if that's all the game is it's pretty lame. Telltale focuses (obviously) much more on story and characters, so maybe they can make it work. That's my problem with this game, Borderlands was never a story driven game, it was shoot things and get better guns to kill things faster, the shooting is the most important part, and Telltale's game will either be point and click with shooting sections like in TWD, which is not good, or they attempt FPS and fail because they do point and click, and hardcore Borderlands fans will not give a fuck about the story, there are plenty of other franchises they could have done, this one just does not work, I would love to be wrong, but I can't see it.

Lots of Telltale's older fanbase thought that TWD was going to suck because it wasn't a strict shooter, but a point and click adventure. If TWD worked out okay, perhaps TftB can too. There doesn't need to be strict shooting gameplay, it could be toned down to QTE's like in TWD. Having said that, I'm still not on board with TftB.

Skags don't have assholes? I never knew that. If I ever play either Borderlands game again, that might be all I'll be able to think about.
Moving away from Skag anatomy and onto the game, while the panel video piqued my interest a little bit, I'm still very unsure about this game. I'll wait for a few of the Episodes to release, then look at the reviews before I buy it, if I actually do. I like the space western theme of the universe, even if I wasn't crazy about the games themselves (maybe it's because I don't have friends to play with), but I'm not exactly sure how this game is going to be handled. TT and Gearbox make very different games.

Same, if it gets good reviews them fine by me, but I am going to wait on this more so then TWD, GOTs though, that is a instant buy even if the first episode is not great.

What makes you think they'll be focusing on the combat at all, though? I don't expect them to try and do something like that. I figure they're going to add original characters and storylines, and that's going to be the focus of the game, not really the combat. There in itself lies the problem, minimum or no combat in a Borderlands game is not a Borderlands game, again I really hope I am wrong, but my gut says this is the wrong choice for Telltale.

Yeah, but people though similar stuff about Telltale handling The Walking Dead... I also didn't mean to imply there would be NO combat whatsoever, sorry if it came across that way. I just meant that combat wouldn't be the focus. I imagine they'll have QTEs and the like. The big thing is that combat wouldn't NEED to be the selling-point of the game, since there would actually be things to care about more than just blowing things up. They'll manage a good balance. Hopefully. I never understood why everyone says no one expected TWD to be good, I have seen a lot of zombie games, and yet none tried what TWD did, so it sounded unique, and was accurate to what the series does, I had no trouble thinking it was going to be good, this one though, I don't know if hardcore fans are going to care about a good story in Borderlands.

I see myself buying TFtB during a Steam or PSN sale like they did with TWAU. Definitely don't think I'm buying a season pass.

Yeah that seems likely, with TWD I bought season pass right off the bat, this, eh, I'll wait for a good steam deal.
