Not saying I would rewind, just saying it would be a less painful death.

Beaten Down isn't the same as tortured. I think Clem will be able to keep all of her limbs and extremities, this Episode at least. I'm far more concerned for Kenny. Same here, man!

To be honest, I'd rather it was Alvin than Kenny. I honestly think Carver would consider him and Kenny even if you don't tell Ken to shoot Carver.
But yeah, I can see it: Save Alvin = Alvin gets tortured Tell Kenny to shoot Carver = Kenny gets tortured
I think that the reason Carver is being so nice to Clementine is because he doesn't hold anything against her. If Kenny hadn't shot Johnny then Carver would've been fine with him too, but by shooting Johnny, Kenny got Walt killed, and put himself and Sarita in danger.
For all Carver knows, Kenny, Sarita and Walt may have been with the Cabin group since they escaped Carver's Settlement.

Ken did kill Johnny and all. Yeah but Carver killed Walt to make them even. It was pretty clever of him to kill Walt, as he probably looked at the lineup, picked out who he didn't recognise (and were therefore probably more tied to Kenny). He then didn't choose Sarita as that would risk making Ken too angry to 'teach him a lesson', and he decided that after Walt he would take out Alvin because he could, and after that he would use Sarita as an excuse to get Kenny to give up.

Personally I feel that Carver is an over the top character, one that's not needed. Now in Season One, telltale got it spot on. This time though I feel that Carver isn't believable. Hope that changes in episode three and beyond, but the only way that's going to happen is if they tone down his character a bit. Give him more aspects to his personality. As all that I see at the moment is a way over the top villain, like they have in the Resident Evil series.

Over the top? Resident Evilish? Are we playing the same game?

Keep in mind, his motivation for bringing back the cabin group was to be able to have a hand in raising his (aledgedly) unborn son or daughter. And I can't help but have a lot of respect for him because of that.

Yeah, he is a bad guy with a few redeeming quality's, however small they be, which makes he more deep, he is a interesting character after only two scenes, and the next episode is going to have a lot of him.
