Just watch like a Recap or something on YouTube, Skybound does them pretty well. But honestly, you're really not missing much if you don't watch the recaps. Basically, war ends, Carl's dead, Negan's alive.

I honestly haven't even watched it yet. I just don't have any passion for it.

I just wanna say first of all, I liked the music that was playing during Rick's walk through the garden.
Tensions were really building up between these people over Justin's murder. I wasn't sure who to suspect. I like how Rick came riding in on his horse to break it up and the way he reminded Daryl of how they first met; leaving Merle to die on a rooftop.
I like how we finally got more info on that chopper, but I can't say I'm surprised about Anne/Jadis hiding something still from Rick. But it is shocking that she's been trading people for supplies. I hope that she doesn't kill Gabriel. He was starting to look cool with that hat.
And then it was revealed that Oceanside was secretly murdering the Saviors. I can understand why, but the fact that they were inspired by Maggie hanging Gregory to begin with is troubling. Now, even knowing what Arat did, (not just killing Cyndie's brother, but also Olivia) I don't think I would've walked away like Maggie and Daryl did. It just doesn't sit right with me. I mean, Daryl and Tara wanted Dwight dead. But because they didn't kill him, he ended up helping against the Saviors, even after he was found out.
An eye for an eye, and the whole world goes blind.
Speaking of Dwight, I wonder if he's doing any better right now.

Another good episode. Next week looks fuckin' baller, too. But why the fuck did AMC just say "Rick Grimes' last two episodes" on the preview for next week? LEAVE SOME OF IT TO SUSPENSE GODDAMMIT

Slow but good. I like how much theyβre playing up the tensions between the different factions, feels genuine.

Season 9 is watchable. At some points, even interesting. A commendable leap in quality compared to the drunken, shambling mess that was Season 8. But also not a high bar to meet. So yeah. Some good stuff, but the stuff needed has to be OUTSTANDING in order to convince me the show if back after slogging through the oil spill of last season. And... that's all for me. Really. Pretty awful finale. But on the bright side IT'S OVER. I won't say this was the worst episode of the season, but damn was it still bad. I guess I liked maybe one or two things but it was just so dull to watch. Anticlimactic. I couldn't wait for it to be over really. And with this episode I finally take my leave of this series. I'm cashing out. Sayonara. Also I don't remember saying this and you people can't prove that I did so don't even start or your family lineage is banned from this forum until the year 1,000,000. I'm out when Rick's out though. For real this time. I swear.

I think I'll watch up until the mid-season finale (so that gives me 3 episodes without Rick) and if it's bad, I'll stop. But if it's actually good (Honestly, I'm pretty certain it's gonna fall apart once Rick leaves) I'll keep watching.

i mean i'm just gonna keep watching it bc everyone else in my house watches it and if it's on then i'm gonna watch it :/
but for the record yeah this season isn't terrible. It's not great. not even sure if it's like, a "good show", but yeah. I think Rock put it best. It's watchable.

Imagine how fucking cool it'd be if we didn't know that this was Rick's final episode. We just went into next week's episode with thinking, "Eh, Rick'll be fine. They're not gonna kill him off, that's show suicide."
Oh well.
This episode looks like it'll serve as a good series finale. I'm considering it. But the last 4 episodes have pretty damn good, I'm a little curious how they handle post Rick. As most of us are, I suppose.

I thought that Troy Baker was the only one with rebar issues. For real though, what happened to Rick just reminds of what happened to Joel from TLOU; getting impaled by a piece of rebar. The only difference is, Joel (barely) managed to survive that incident. Unfortunately, we know that Rick won't. And with that massive herd closing in, God, this just sucks. I've been preparing for when Rick's departure from the show will happen when I first heard of the news, but goddammit, I still ain't ready to say goodbye to the sheriff.

Rick's doing a pretty good cosplay of Ben. If Daryl was there to call him a shitbird we'd be cooking with gas.

This would be kind of a shitty way for Rick to go out. Not that that surprises me.

Major spoilers for 9x05 are out. For those that still want to go in blind, watch out on the subreddit and Youtube.
I still haven't seen a single episode this season.
