In a video skybound just released not long ago, former TellTale devs talked about a rejected ending for Season 2 in the developer commentary that comes with the The Walking Dead Collection coming out September 10th.
Man that would be one hell of a dark ending lol, im so curious how many people would have chosen it too.

Just heard about this a while ago myself.
If they din't have the idea of making season 3, that ending probably would of been incorporated into the actual game. It seems unlikely they would of been able to make A New Frontier, one that would have a alive Clem and in one version she is dead, especially considering how they decided to wrap up Kenny, Jane and Wellington to cut out the loose ends connected to the previous season.
But putting that aside, this potential ending definitely would of gotten a lot of scorn, season 2 had enough problems as it was with the plot not going anywhere after the third episode, ending character's stories in shock value deaths while a few were left with fates unknown, the length of each episode etc. This would of been the final nail to season 2 and the Walking Dead in general. Clementine's death would made a lot of people to swear off Telltale and not buy their games anymore.
