I hope y'all didn't miss the best part of the episode: the episode was worth the wait, it had lots of great moments and the Lee dream choices: I actually let the time run out on the last one hoping to get some special scene or that AJ chooses it himself, ended up defaulting into not shooting Lily. I'd have chosen it either way since I didn't want to further fuck up AJ and kill Lily myself, but welp that didn't work out as planned. You gotta be kidding me, where did you find the drawing toy? Can you do your own drawing?! That's awesome! You can find it in the basement before talking to Abel. You can either choose to draw from memory which is three different drawings, one of them being the stache or choose to draw yourself but it's deleted as soon as you back out

Alright so I took some time to order my thoughts after the episode. It was great, and like Lyric said, an emotional rollercoaster. I could laugh in one scene and tear up in the next one. It was a feeling I really missed from this series. It was a pretty long episode too, around 2 and a half hours for me.
I have to say, I feel really bad for Louis. He can't talk anymore, they took one of the most important things from him and he's fucking traumatized. Lilly has literally no redeemable qualities whatsoever so fuck her. And then she killed James too! Ughhhhhh what a bitch.
The scene where Lilly has James tied up had some nice dialogue. She tells him he won't ever fit in a group, and that he only looks out for himself. I'm glad I got to tell him he'd be welcome in our group, because I'm sure at least he died knowing we considered him our friend. She also calls him "it" instead of "him" ughhhhhhhhhhhhh
Lee's scene was great. I found Clem's dialogue in it kinda awkward at first, but when she hugs Lee and he sees her as her current self, sort of feeling proud (and telling her to keep her hair short), I teared up a bit. It was a great scene even if the way Clem talked was sort of awkward. I didn't mind much because it got natural when grown up Clem appeared. I half expected to see Kenny or Ben in it too lol, but I guess their models would've meant more money in assets and I suppose they were in a tight budget.
The party scene was awesome, and please let's not forget Willy's chronic masturbation. There was a lot of funny scenes in this episode and I loved every single one of them. I feel like humor makes me connect with the characters a lot more.
Anyway, great episode, I'm glad we ended up getting it after all. My choices: - Didn't torture Abel. It just didn't feel right. - I gave him mercy and killed him. Honestly I hated the guy but felt pretty bad for him. - I respected James' beliefs and didn't kill any walker. - Danced with Violet. VI IS BEST GIRL - I named the bomb "Mitch's Masterpiece". - Let AJ attack Dorian. I was so pissed at Lilly and Dorian holy fuuuuckk - Told AJ to lower his gun. AND THEN IT BACKFIRED AND LILLY MURDERED JAMES. But I can't let AJ kill someone like this.
EDIT: ALSO FUCK MINNIE even though her design is pretty badass

Okay, let's not forget the single most impressive part of the episode. Minnie's fucking face as they describe what happened to sophie is the best telltale expression I've ever seen by far, and it's easily the best expression I've seen since God of War last year. Crazy good job.

I'm sorry, but ummm what the fuck? It's a joke. And a video game. Ok. I know you said that he didn't deserve it, I just didn't think it was funny to joke about him losing his biggest coping mechanism (joking, being loud, singing) just because you don't like him. But alright. He means a lot to mean, that's all. Even if he's a character in a video game. And it's not fun when I come here to talk about the episode, even though I don't have many people to relate to because I think nearly everyone has gone with Violet (except SOS?), but I want to have a good time anyway, and then I see a joke like that, when I was already genuinely upset from merely watching someone else play through that scene. Sorry, I just didn't see the funny side.

Last 10 minutes of the episode caused me to have flashbacks of ANF Ep4 ending.

Holy shit, this episode was damn good. Most of the scenes were pretty good, the interrogation scene, the party scene and especially the Lee dream sequence, that one nearly broke my heart. The characters were pretty cool, I really like the dynamic between Clem and AJ, and Louis is shaping up to be one of my favorite characters so far, but holy crap what happens to him if you choose Violet over him is brutal as fuck, seriously. I enjoyed most of the episode, though there was one aspect I din't like about it.
Mainly, Lilly's role in this season. Personally, I think her being the antagonist is a nice twist that makes sense instead of repeating Kenny's arc, but she is too unlikeable to even sympathize with, the elements that made her a relatable character in season 1 are gone, she is really just a female carbon copy of Carver. Outside of her mentioning her childhood with Larry, it was annoying that you couldn't get to talk with Lilly about the past like telling her that Ben was the one who made the deal with the bandits or even get her reaction about Kenny especially since he was the one who killed her dad, you'd think she would ask what happened to him and his family but nope, nothing. Her return in this season honestly feels like fanservice because everyone kept demanding for her to come back after being gone for so long, it would of been better to just leave her faith unknown and up to speculation instead of bringing back yet another season 1 character in a season that's limited to four episodes. And now that she is determinant, this can go either two ways: they take the ANF route and if you choose to spare her, she vanishes into thin air and remains gone forever like Joan and the only means of getting closure is by killing her in the first place or they take the Batman S2 route and the final episode will turn out to be different depending on the final choice, with Clem having a final confrontation with Lilly and give her a proper sendoff or AJ becoming a lot more like Carver if you let him shoot Lilly and you have to deal with him.
But that aside, overall, this episode was pretty amazing, this season has potential to become even better than season 1 if the final episode will have the same quality as this and the first two episodes. I get the feeling that Clementine will end up sacrificing herself to save AJ so everything can come full circle and he ends up alone while everyone else get's axed off which I really hope it won't be the case and they'll do something different instead of rehashing season 1's ending just for the sake of nostalgia. Take Us Back will ultimately end the Walking Dead series(assuming Skybound won't decide to do more Walking Dead in the future) on a high note or a low note, but I bet it's gonna be the former. And, it will also be the last episode related to Telltale to make, which honestly makes me a little sad after being invested in this company and it's games for quite a few years which helped create this community. It's like a another part of my childhood ending.
Well, those were my thoughts. Can't wait for the grand finale, I'm really curious how they are gonna wrap all of this up.

Mercy Killed Abel:
A deal's a deal, I guess, and I kinda wanted to get some kills under my belt at a point where I wasn't too invested in the episode and had the balls to pull the trigger.
Respected James and killed no walkers:
Tbh I thought this was more a fun challenge to try than anything, because the combat in this game is pretty clunky and I wanted to see if it was doable.
Named the bomb 'Mitch's Masterpiece':
Mitch liked blowing shit up, Mitch made bombs, Willy liked Mitch. It's the only real option.
Allowed AJ to attack Dorian, stopping her from cutting off Violet's finger:
Let AJ go full plot armor on this one, but shit, it was only gonna be Violet's finger? The maiming wasn't very telegraphed so I thought it was gonna be her whole hand or something (as a parallel to Abel). Regardless, I stand by my decision. AJ's fine, Violet has all her digits for that Clussy. (Speaking of, I held off on the kiss in ep2 as more of a slow burn thing and had them kiss just before the assault on the Delta.)
Lou lou got dicked down hard by plot which threw me for a fucking loop and four seasons in that's an accomplishment in itself.
Told AJ to kill Lilly:
Okay, James, you can hold it against me that I did say I wouldn't let AJ kill anyone else, but I know Lilly far fucking better than you and know she would have pulled something. Now instead of having One Explosion and One Lilly to worry about, it's just the Explosion. You're welcome.
I think AJ's kinda off the deep end anyway because he was born into this shit, but I made peace with the fact Alvin was sterile and AJ is Bill Carver's a long time ago. Lilly had to go, and fast.
Good episode. Bit slow in places and the ending felt abrupt but it had a lot of moments that made up for it. Don't wang it in the last episode, Telltale! Fuck. Wait, Don't wang it in the last episode, Skybound.

Violet is positively insufferable if you let her get captured, holy shit.
Episode was phenomenal, I never feel like I’m doing the right thing.
