The thumbnail for the video is pretty much from Batman the Animated Series. Honestly I haven't payed a ton of attention to the game but I do like them cribbing from that series. Yeah I know, just, the way you wrote your comment made me confused if you thought it was a good or a bad thing.

Another excellent episode. Maybe not quite as good as the first, but I wouldn't say it dipped in quality, they're just setting things up for the rest of the season. Loved the new villains and there were some pretty difficult choices. Overall, I'd give it an 8.5/10. Thoughts:I loved all of the new villains. They've each got a little spin on them while remaining true to the core of the characters. Harley's probably the standout, but I also really liked Bane. He comes off as genuinely scary, and an actual leader. Probably the best adaptation of Bane from the comics that I've ever seen. Freeze gets the least amount of screen time, but he's got potential to be really interesting, too.
I still really love this version of Joker, and all of the scenes with John are great, especially at the Pact's base. I'm really curious how different things are if you're hostile to him/don't trust him. Right now though, I love seeing his and Bruce's relationship.
Overall, I'm surprised at how natural scenes in this episode play out. They seem like they could be really contrived, and some parts, like the bit at Wayne Tower, are pushing it, but later parts, like talking to Freeze and Bane at the Pact's base actually flow really nicely. Just gotta give credit to the writers for making those scenarios work out.
Also, gotta give credit to Jared Emerson-Johnson because the music is really good, and the directing in this episode was also quite good, Telltale's really improving on that front, even in stuff like ANF that's been getting consistently better.
I'm a little disappointed that Gordon, Waller, and Tiffany didn't play a larger role, but ultimately it was the right call to have this episode focus on the Pact. I just hope things don't get too crowded now with Selina, and hopefully next episode the balance shifts back a bit to some of the other characters. But right now, I love the mystery they're building up, and I can't wait for the next episode. Choices:-Called Gordon. I'm with Gordon 100%. -Pinky Swore with John. Telltale really has an obsession with Pinky Swears, don't they? -Bribed Willy. Not sure how this is a major choice, but okay. -Convinced Tiffany to give John the Phalanx Key and stay hidden. Really curious to see what happens if you fail this. Also, I love how this seems to be based on your choice in Episode 1. Telltale seems to be leaning into having choices affect other choices in this, and I love it. I'm just glad that telling her the truth panned out in the long run. -Agreed with Alfred to tell Tiffany the truth. -Fought with Harley. I think Bane would've been more suspicious of Bruce trying to stop him from killing people, but it seems like maybe I made the wrong call there. Relationships:-Waller is Content. Seems like there's almost no way to piss her off in this episode since it was like 99.6% of people who left with her being content. -Gordon is Worried. Like I said, I'm with Gordon 100%, and that means telling him the truth. -Tiffany is Worried. Glad telling her to truth worked out in the end. -Alfred is exhausted. This must be a glitch because it said "you and 0% of players". -Harley is happy. I guess fighting alongside her helped with something -John is happy. I'm with John 100%, too. I did have a little glitch where the choice to answer Riddler's questions or not was glitching out on me. Blake was very clearly alive and actually talked to Batman about Avesta being in the hospital, but when I checked the codex, it said he was dead. So, not sure what's up with that, hopefully it just sorts itself out.

Holy goooodamn. That was worth the wait. Awesome, awesome episode. Choices: -I was going full Pro-Harley and Pro-John. It's really entertaining. So Tiffany thinks I'm a villain, so that's cool. Fuck her. She's too nosy. -Called Waller because I wanted to get on good terms with her since I was totally Pro-Gordon last episode. -Took down Willy violently -- that'll teach him not to talk shit anymore. -"Headed Off" with Harley. I slipped Bane the serum and then left him. Goood shit. -Pinky Swear with John - John's mah boi Relationships: -Waller is Content. -Gordon is Worried. I didn't tell him what leverage Waller has on me, but he trusted me. My man! -Tiffany is Freaked-Out - She thinks I'm a villain and I tried to bully her into giving her the key. I didn't tell her that Lucius was working for Batman. Probably should have. Oh well. -Alfred is Stressed - You and 0% of players lol -Harley's happy - I flirted with her for like most of the episode, and did a lot of Pro-Harley choices. I felt bad for doing them to John, tho. -John is happy - My boi John.
Can't wait for Episode 3. Too bad that cumdumpster Selina is back. I mean, we knew this from the Ep3 slide but oh well. She's probably gonna be a bitch and fuck this undercover thing up... does this also mean that cuck the Riddler is going to be back next episode?

Oh shit, yeah you're presented with a totally different choice in Episode 2 based on if you lied to Tiffany or told her the truth in Episode 1. Has Telltale ever done that before? This is actually really cool.

Waller gives you the serum, and when you go talk to Bane to convince him that you're on his side, you can slip the modified serum onto him, and he'll use it if you leave with Harley

Huh, Waller never gave me any serum. I guess because I didn't call her earlier in the episode?
I'm... actually impressed by the amount of stuff that can change based on your choices. I hope they manage to keep it up.

Um, she just shocked John with the gun and ran out and Harley like beat the shit out of her and then she gave up the key Huh, okay, so that choice of saying if you're with or against Harley is only if you lied to Tiffany in Episode 1, okay. So that means there's 4 outcomes for the scene with Tiffany... That's actually pretty impressive.

Finally got to finish Episode 2 of The Enemy Within. That was quite a fight against Bane at the start of this episode. And Batman gets his ass kicked by that brute. And Chip. Oh God, poor old Chip. I've only known him for a few seconds and I was really sad that he didn't make it. That brave mechanic saved Batman.
This episode takes the term "keep your enemies closer" to a major level. First, starting off with getting John's help to get me a part of the Pact and get close to Bane. When I saw that he as at that bar, I was thinking that Frank guy would be there (I'm sure I'm not the only one who thought that). John found the tracker I placed on him, and of course he wasn't happy about that, but we made up. When John said that I'd get to meet his friends, things did not go how I thought they would. Particularly, having a gun aimed at my head while making first impressions with Harley. And then Bruce ends up having to steal from his own company. No rest for the weary or the wicked indeed. It's really hard to maintain a front and make a good first impression with a pair of psychos while Harley is going around doing whatever the hell she feels like. Such as banging Bruce's employees' heads and threatening Regina.
I liked that flashback of Lucius first showing his lab to Bruce. Man, I really miss seeing him around. And even in death, he's still helping Bruce. I should've known that Tiffany was hiding in the vault waiting for me. I was worried that the whole thing was gonna end in a real clusterfuck. But thanks to choosing my words carefully, I managed to diffuse the tense situation and it all worked out well.
And then comes the real fun part of being initiated to the Pact. Getting captured, handcuffed to a chair and having to shut off the EMP generator. And I also get to meet the cold-blooded man himself, Mister Freeze. I'd also like to point out that that is quite the getup Bruce has on to look the part. The hat was a nice touch. I wonder if Alfred gave him that.
And what was it that the Pact risked everything to use that EMP in that convoy raid and the phalanx key for? To open the container carrying the Riddler's corspe. Seriously? I mean, why? What would they need his dead body for? And if that wasn't enough, Catwoman drops in to say hello. She always had a way of making surprise entrances. I feel like things are bound to be awkward in the start of the next episode.
RELATIONSHIPS:
- I left Harley feeling Happy. I gotta say, Harley is definitely a lot more cunning in this series than I believed she would be. - I left Waller feeling Content. Didn't think I'd get this result. Might be because I told her to promise no one gets killed. - I left Gordon feeling Worried about me. No matter what, he's a true friend and I'll always have his back and remain honest with him. I also really liked that little statement of his when I told him Waller knows my identity. - I left Tiffany feeling Worried about me. I'm glad I told her to truth. - I left Alfred feeling Content. I can always count on him. And apparently, I gave him a renewed sense of purpose. - I left John feeling Happy. Maybe there's hope for this Joker yet.
MY CHOICES:
* I reached out Gordon in my time of need. I know its a risk to get on Waller's bad side since she knows Bruce's secret, but like I've kept telling her, I'm loyal only to Gordon. * I pinky swore with John. "Friends for life" he says. Wonder how much longer that's gonna last. * I tried to calm down Willy when he drew a knife on me. There are peaceful ways to resolve conflicts rather than relying on fisticuffs. - I refused Harley's slushy offer. Part of it was because I thought it would upset John if I did. But, for the most part, I actually never liked slushies. - I pushed the elevator button. I really wanted to help the guard, but I gave Harley my word I would do what she asks. Plus, he was still alive. - I chose not to flirt with Harley. John's the one in love with the crazy gal. I ain't getting caught in no love triangle. * I convinced Tiffany to give John the Phalanx Key and stay hidden. Even though she is still mad at me for what happened to her dad, I have she will forgive me soon. - I Agreed with Alfred to tell Tiffany the truth. Honesty is the best policy I suppose. I just hope that once she knows the whole truth, she will agree not to tell anyone. The way I see it, if she were to blurt out Bruce's secret, she'd be dishonoring her father in the worst way possible. - I chose to be merciful to the guy. It may not have won Bane's trust, but I was still able to win the majority vote. * I followed Harley. Between her and Bane, I actually prefer to be around Harley more. She does trust me more than Bane does.
