I didn't think there was a way the "forums" would get even worse when Bruner made the change in 2013, but it happened. What's up with the community manager(s) now? What happened?

They made it linear, all the comments are all over the place. It's fucked. Got rid of likes. It's still blinding white.

To play devil's advocate, this forum is linear too. (And, no, likes aren't gone)
(I do agree the design could be updated though)

To play devil's advocate, this forum is linear too. (And, no, likes aren't gone) (I do agree the design could be updated though) But unlike Telltale's forums, the linear style works because it fits. The reddit-esque comments was definitely working but needed some modification (like a comment with so many replies that it just goes into a single column should be hidden by default to prevent clutter). And the website is also lacking with the plain white background...

Besides quoted posts automatically showing up for replies and the plain white background, how else? (Just to clarify, I'm asking this sincerely and not in a snarky/passive aggressive way)

(Just to clarify, I'm asking this sincerely and not in a snarky/passive aggressive way) (Not to disrespect this forum) But this forum has linear, the other forum has(had) threaded. Take a guess at which forum most people prefer. Which forum as more activity? The other forum. It has a lot more activity, so it causes things to get buried pages back before you even get to see them. Linear is for busier chat rooms. It's only rarely effective on places like this forum that get hardly any activity.

Honestly, I hate threaded. I just think it looks really cluttered and unappealing. Like to hop in would be invasive.

Have you ever been to the NeoGAF forums? www.neogaf.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=2They are hugely popular with posts happening all the time and yet are in a linear style which everyone can cope with. The reason this forum exists in the first place was mainly because people wanted to evacuate to a normal looking forum to avoid Telltale's Reddit style forum, some other people as well as previous Telltale forum mods left to join forums like Double fine mainly because their friends where there and it again looked and worked like a traditional, linear style forum.

There are probably better examples out there to show how well linear works. Edit: Well after posting this the NeoGAF forums where closed down Gaming Forum NeoGAF Goes Offline Following Allegations Against Owner. What great timing (seriously i genuinely find it hilarious)
