Clementine was the first character designed for the walking dead game. She was initially designed to act like a moral compass for the player, always trying to do the right thing. In order for that to work, she had to be a character that everyone (or almost everyone) cared about. They did an awesome job with Clementine.
Here's the point I'm trying to make: Who will be the moral compass of season 2? Clementine can become fairly dark if you want her to.
My prediction that the closest thing this season will have to a moral compass is Luke. I would say Pete, but he's probably going to die soon.
I have a few reasons why I think this:
1. Lets face it, a lot of the cabin members are assholes to some extent. Carlos is overprotective (sorta), Rebecca is a bitch and a whore, Alvin is spineless, Nick is trigger happy (to his credit, he did apologize). Sarah is in her own special category, I find it hard to feel too much empathy for her, and Pete is either dead or about to die. That just leaves Luke.
2. You interact with Luke far more than any other character, and almost all of the interactions with him are positive.
3. I have this gut feeling that he had a sister around Clem's age that died during the outbreak, and he sees some of her in Clementine. That might be explain why he is so kind to her.
He picked Clementine up when she had fallen.
He offered her food when she was starving.
He offered her shelter when she had nowhere to go.
--
My best guess is that his role will be a cross between Kenny's and Clementine's in season 1. He's going to be the secondary protagonist, but what could he do that make characters dislike him (such as the meat locker incident last season made a lot of people dislike Kenny). Perhaps he grows distant from Clementine if she gets darker and makes evil choices. He almost seems disappointed and shocked of Clementine doesn't accept Nick's apology. I'd love to have a major character act like the moral compass.
Who do you guys think will be the moral compass of season 2, if anyone will be?

I'm going with Sarah. She's the most innocent character and her subtitle text is pink like Clementine's.

While Clementine was innocent, she knew what was going on in the world and was able to pick up on things that adults were talking about. Remember when she pulled Ben away a the start of episode 2? "Come over here and see what I drew." "What, no.. I..." "Just common, okay?" She wasn't interested in showing him her drawings, she was getting him out of trouble. For Sarah to be an effective moral compass, she would have to know what the hell is going on. She doesn't. She even thought that Clementine was about the same age as she was. Besides, what are the odds of her surviving all the way to episode 4 or 5?

I'll admit you have a point there. Maybe she will make it to episode 4, but I doubt she will get farther than that. Eventually she's going to get on everyone's nerves if she doesn't loose her innocence & doesn't become any more useful. The only reason I say she will die in episode 4 is because I think that will be the "This is it, kill everything." Episode of the season.

I mean in episode 3 slide, we see a train hitting a walker and Duck looking happy but it doesn't happen in episode 3. In episode 5 slide, we see Clem on a field with Lee's dead body but Lee dies in the jewelry store so...

Personally, I think so far there is no moral compass. My idea is that during Season 2, Lee's words from Season 1 will resonate through Clem for a while. This is displayed when she quotes Lee multiple times in the dog scene. Maybe when Clem has to make a big descion and picks the "wrong" or "evil" Clem will remember what Lee told her what to do and not do.
Or maybe if Kenny shows up and sees how much Clem has changed (for better or worse) he'll remind you of what Clem was like in Season 1, and make you think twice!
So basically, Lee's "ghost" and Kenny (if he appears)

Entire season is way to optimistic, I thought Omid and Christa would make it to at least episode 4, but after all of that I saw, everyone is going to die.
