Yeah, sounds like they just rushed the episode out. Heard the lip-syncing is downright terrible. And stuff was glitching alot. Well the lip-syncing wasn't great, or even good, in Episode One. :/

This game isn't ambitious at all. The story is basic. There doesn't appear to be much character development with the non-Order cast of friends. The episode felt like it was 30-45 minutes. I'm not holding a grudge or anything... speaking from the heart here. That was the least impressive Telltale episode of all-time. I didn't feel sucked in at all. Felt like they just shit the episode out. Definitely feeling a cash cow vibe. No, Smoke and Mirrors was definitely the worst Telltale Episode ever, but this is a close second. I don't think Smoke & Mirrors was bad. Hell, I preferred it over In Sheep's Clothing.

With Smoke & Mirrors, at least I liked the characters and the story was already super easy to immerse yourself into. Minecraft doesn't provide you with any memorable characters, really. The main character certainly isn't offered the range of a character like Bigby. The range of what Telltale can do is obviously limited by its content and subsequent rating... but it's gotta be better that it is. There's a clear path highlighted for Jesse that only ends with he/she being a hero and adored by all. I treated Magnus like a sack of pigeon shit in episode 2 and he's all "hey, I get it." If it wasn't for the raging hard on I get for anything and everything Scott Porter, the only character I would truly care about is the fuckin' pig, for christ's sake.
Hopefully the story gets deeper with the Order and Ivor or something. Because the story of a big monster wrecking havoc on the world and a band of broken up heroes reuniting with new heroes is so, so simplistic. I mean, you can pull it off. You just need a TON of heart in the story. There's none so far. Tales mastered the heart game. It isn't enough to go around asking everyone "you OK?" a million times.
I'm not too bothered by the lip-syncing. I didn't know how it would work to begin with. The mouths are square. Right off the bat you eliminate the syncing of any and all letters that require one to purse their lips.

So how are they fucking up? I seriously want to know. Still think they should have gone the Lego Movie route, they shouldn't be taking anything seriously, and been more creative with what they had. It's not a lot, but come on! You can do more then just a basic by the numbers adventure story.

I don't think the current story is bad, but I totally agree with you that a self aware story about creativity or survival or something would've been better. It's awkward to have a story that simultaneously has things like the Order of the Stone being taken seriously and having the characters exist in a real world while also having self aware parodies of conventions, DJ booths, posters of celebrities, characters talking like high school bullies ("fail squad", "losers", "noobs", etc) and other things that wouldn't exist in Minecraft. It's not bad, but I personally think it's a weird mix and this is coming from someone who wasn't going in with a negative mindset. Telltale had older titles that were kid friendly and still had lots of heart and characters with good range (like Tales of Monkey Island, Sam and Max: The Devil's Playhouse, etc) where people still cried in certain dramatic scenes from having been so attached to the characters - just like Telltale was also able to pull off for Tales from the Borderlands.

o rly? It took me 2 hours. If you play 2 times ep1 and do alternative choices, you got 2 hours of mc sm ep2. So stfu. You wanted choices to matter you got it, and still you do not like it.

Funny, you used to tell people to stfu all the time. This doesn't concern you TKA. Btw the only person I recently told to shut up was Sonic when he started telling me what to do, and when he started speaking bout some shit in that thread. I remember being told to shut up recently by you, but that's hardly the point. Okay, stop insulting each other, both you and Better Choices, all I am going to say.

On the subject of MC, how long was the episode for you? Because for me it was rather short, not Cry Wolf, but not far off.

One hour and 2 mins, i did the alternative one too another hour with 6 mins, it is cool to see those alternative choices, and fail choices actually mattering. I found one secret choice too.

The greifer battle with Ultra Magnus and the showdown with Ivor in the end were the highlights for me.
