I don't know how many of you watched this show (it's quite old, tbh).
I just finished watching Season 1, and wow. This show is funny, scary, bizarre and serious - all at the same time. (Also makes me wonder why the creators of Deadly Premonition weren't sued - the game is much more than a simple inspiration, really).
The series is, at first, all about the murder of a schoolgirl, but it's the side stories that 'make' this show. The storylines of Leo, Ed or Josie are really interesting. Sometimes, the 'who conspires with whom' aspect is much more interesting than the whodunnit on which the show is based.
Besides, the show has a fantastic quality of making even the most stupid scenes seem logical. In one of the initial episodes, the FBI agent who investigates the murder comes up with his own, quite weird, method to determine the main suspect. The only thing that comes to mind during that scene is 'what the fuck am I watching?' and yet it is positively twisted.
The show was cancelled more than 20 years ago due to low ratings (there were some articles on that), but the show will receive additional 18 episodes, aired by Showtime in 2017. I started watching the series only recently, but I can't imagine how painful it was for the people who waited more than those 20 years to see the follow-up.
I'm going to watch S2 now, but I highly recommend this series to anyone. Even if you won't like it, you should see at least some episodes to make your opinion. Maybe I have a thing for weird TV shows, but this one is absolutely terrific.

I started watching this a few days ago, only saw the first episode with my family. A little on the slow side, and aside from the two main characters, the acting isn't exactly great, but it was hilarious, and I am digging the mystery aspect.
Also, I can definitely see how Alan Wake took inspiration from Twin Peaks. They basically took all the characters straight from Stephen King(seriously, Alan Wake fits right in alongside Jack Torrance and Ben Mears, and the Dark Presence is like something straight from Desperation or The Shining), and the setting and snippets of the tone from Twin Peaks.

About halfway through Season Two now. Still pretty great. Very weird.

This is my brother's all time favorite show. Always wanted to watch it, but I just have never gotten around to it. Saw one episode, and it kinda was a chore to watch. It was interesting, but tiring.

Coming May 2017!
I do have some doubts about it, but maybe it'll be good. It's just this huge cast that worries me. I don't know where are they trying to go with the show.

0% chance they do this right. I just don't think it's possible. Considering the very specific style of this show, I just don't see some new team, or even the old one, coming back and doing it again.

I mean, (most of) the old team is coming back, so it's got a better chance than new people doing a third season.
