I'm not really sure how many people watch this, because it requires a viewer to be capable of not throwing up during certain scenes...
But here it comes: my favorite TV series of all time (well, the quality was somewhat off during the second half of Season 2). Yes, it's mostly talking. There's not a lot of action. It's completely unrealistic.
(come to think of it, TTG could make a great game out of it)
If you're not familiar with the source material or movies like 'Red Dragon'/'Silence of The Lambs' etc. (but that must also mean you lived in a cave for past 20 years or sth ) then here's a quick synopsis: the TV series tells the story of FBI profiler Will Graham and his partnership with doctor Hannibal Lecter - before FBI found out he's The Chesapeake Ripper. The TV series divereges a little from the novels, but makes it up with a fantastic atmosphere.
I'd like to mention that many TV critics named it the best show last year - ahead of Game of Thrones, The Walking Dead, Mad Men and like.
Of course, many people say that the show is over-the-top when it comes to violence, but, contrary to many other TV shows, murders actually serve some purpose here, other than pushing the plot and straying from the 'crime-of-the-week' formula (S1 tried something like that, but quickly got rid of it in favor of more serialized storytelling).
Oh, and another thing: it has Gillian Anderson. Enough said.
And now Hannibal will be back with Season 3 on June 4 and will present the events from books 'Hannibal' and 'Red Dragon'. Can't wait!
EDIT: And also this. Credits to Korean AXN for this masterpiece.
