These pictures made me wonder whether Christa was supposed to get separated from Clem, but Christa would later rejoin Clem and the cabin group along the way.... I'm not sure. The title above Carlos and Sarah (WD 201 Character Line Up) suggests it's just all of the characters set to appear in the Episode. That said, it seems like Johnny was originally going to be part of Winston's group, not Carver's.

But this doesn't change the fact that TT treated Christa like shit in S2 without givin this storyline much thought, and they proved that in S02E05. Wellington looks like a fucking stronghold and that woman whatever's-her-name at the gates says that they're over capacity, there's so much people... but after Clem asks for her friend, she says "I don't think there's anyone named Christa in here". FFS, are we supposed to believe that she knows EVERYONE in here? From what we saw in the game, their community looks a lot bigger than your average Farm/Howe's/Motel/Savannah community. It's likely that there are hundreds of people in here. And we're supposed to believe that Christa is not among them, because the woman at the gate doesn't know her? I know that this dialogue option was supposed to somehow acknowledge the fact that Ep1/2 established that Clem wanted to look for Christa and they wanted to give players some closure, but it actually made me more irritated. Sounds strange, I know, but that's just how I feel.

Sounds strange, I know, but that's just how I feel. A cut line for Edith states that she'd know if someone named Christa was there because she used to have a niece with that name. Still, Christa deserved better. Omid did. Pete did. Nick did. Sarah did. Everyone did. The temptation... to rewrite... too strong...

What Telltale did to Omid and Christa was one of the worst parts of season 2, if not the worst part. Why not have them come back for good, instead of motherfucking Kenny?

While I do agree with the fact that TT made a lot of mistakes with how they used their characters, I have to say that Omid's death worked really good in the game. His death made a strong opening to the season. But Christa's baby? Was she killed by the bandits? Where did she go? It felt like Ep1 set up so many mysteries to be resolved lated (with Christa's return maybe, I don't know) but then that storyline was dropped in favor of Kenny being forcefully transformed into a maniac, "OH LOOK! RUSSIANS!" and "I know Arvo will fuck things up for us, why can't I acknowledge it/kill him before he does so? Oh yeah, because drama..." :/

I still don't think the return of Kenny was bad. That Telltale used Kenny as a crutch throughout the season was bad.
Keeping Christa around could have changed a lot of things. Kenny's voice wouldn't have been nearly as overwhelming. And do you think Jane is able to manipulate Clementine with Christa around? EL-OH-EL, no.
