Oh no, bad news guy's, John Riccitiello just joined Telltale's board of directors, and he is the former CEO of EA, oh god I hope this doesn't go the way I think it might. What, A Telltale Mass Effect? Cause I REALLY want that.

No you don't get it, they are not getting licences or money from EA, just the asshole CEO who was in charge during Mass Effect's history and may or may not have had a hand in that ending we all love, and all the bad things EA has done since 2004 to 2013.

This gives me hope that it will lead to TT firing Stauffer and hiring someone who actually knows a thing or two about PR.

Maybe, and again it's not like he is calling the shots, they can just say no the whatever the hell he says, and partnering with Lionsgate I imagine will mean a bigger budget which might get us that new engine we want with less bugs, maybe this will turn out good, I hope.

Imagine if TT bought the license for UE3/4 or CryEngine and had mo-cap sessions for their games. Unfortunately, that's not going to happen, I guess. The TT's engine, while buggy, allows them to develop games more quickly and that's what they need right now. I mean, they're making GOT, TFTB, TWD3, Minecraft and this 'Super Show' project with Lionsgate... they can't afford to lose time to 'learn' how to develop a game with a new engine, especially with their current '2 games a year' model.

I suppose, but can't they at least make it not stutter and have glitches? Or give us better info when something get's delayed? I thought it wouldn't take a entire movie studio backing you up to get there, but now can we please Telltale? Also PS, this is the same guy who said every EA game must have multiplayer or it will fail, not counting anything like Half Life or Bioshock.

I don't understand the concept of this Super Show.
"A “Super Show” episode combines one part of interactive playable content with one part of scripted television style content."
Is this saying that one part is going to be like Telltale games are now and the other is going to be one big cut-scene? If that's the case, I sure hope it's the cut-scene on top of the normal amount of playable content. Playing an hour long game and then watching something for another hour sounds like it would kind of suck.

This makes me think of this new game Remedy (Alan Wake, Max Payne) is making called Quantum Leap, which will be half TV show, half game.

I'm trying to figure that out to, I don't need my Telltale game becoming Metal Gear Solid 4, at that point it's truly not a game, it's a movie/TV show, I like my interactive choices, not sitting at screen for two hours, I love films don't get me wrong, but when I press start on my 360 controller I expect to have some level of control, as in, more then none.

Screw me if I'm wrong, but I believe that Remedy also came up with this concept while developing Quantum Break. Which was announced one fucking year ago. And besides, I still don't see how is that supposed to work. A TT game works because it is, in fact, an interactive TV series - and now we're going to have sequences which take that interactivity away?

Actually it was announced I think back in 2013, the same year with got info on Battlefield 4 and Battlefront 3, so no actually they have been doing this even longer and is still not yet proven to even be a good idea, why jump on the bandwagon for something that could fail? That's like moving into an apartment that's not even finished yet, for all you know it could fall apart right now!

We thought the same thing about TFTBL, and look how that turned out!

I mean, it's Remedy - they make quality games and they're yet to make something completely unplayable. But still - I want a videogame to be a videogame. TT games are interactive fiction, sure, but it still allows the player to have some control. I don't want some sort of live-action/game mix. I guess we'll see how it turns out. [On a side note: I wouldn't say no to a Hunger Games TT-style game. Now, the partnership with Lionsgate makes that possible]

Sure! Why not?
